Covering/hiding some ugly pipes

I recently installed a water softener in my garage and the piping is pretty ugly. I just moved in and the garage is a nice clean slate. I don't want this thing to be the one eyesore.

I was thinking of those cable organizers you see sometimes when you run cables to your computer. At least so everything is black. Any ideas?

Here's the eyesore as it sits. Finished it last night.

And here's the reason I want it to be clean. Trying to go with a minimalistic look.

Maybe fur-out a chase and place a removable panel over it?

Ditto! Build a "cabinet" around it to hide all of the hardware hanging on the wall. It will look a lot cleaner then anything else will.
Could be used for storage also if you build it right.

Good idea!

I'm a little worried that it may not look good. I usually like everything looking the same, especially since I have Gladiator Garageworks cabinetry everywhere. If I build a wooden thing, it may look funny, no?

I do have some extra of these. I could maybe cut out the back somehow and do something "custom" and mount that on the wall? :)

If you drywall it and paint it to match your existing drywall it will disappear. Build it short enough and you can hang those cabinets over it. Possibly build some drawers into the top for storage.
