I’ll be covering my pole barn walls in 7/16 or 1/2” OSB. Is their a cost effective covering to put on the OSB? I’m thinking like a Formica type look but less expensive.

I used 5/8" T1-11 plywood siding on my closed-in carport. And used lots of paint.

OSB is a sponge on the wetcoast.

My SIPS are covered in 1/2" OSB. On the outside I used Tyvek with pine log siding (2x8) and stained to match my log house. On the inside I used 1x8" shiplap pine with 2 coats of water based poly. Came out nice.

I’ve considered paint but it’s very labor intensive for a 30x40x12 building. I may just leave the OSB unfinished and just paint the T1-11 wainscoting.

You can roll a lot of paint on quickly, it is not that much work as you are thinking. You can get the wider 12 or 18 inch rollers, not stuck with the common 9 inch wide rollers.
