CP 1/4 Air Ratchet

I'm still looking for a 1/4 air ratchet. Everyone seems to think CP(Chicago) are very good but they only have 12 lbs of torque. Is this enough?

Try a Snap On FAR25A,I've had one for several years.and it's been great. The last few I've seen sell on e-bay have been dirt cheap.

that thing looks cool. I have a Mac one that gets about 25 lbs. it won't break a bolt, but once lose it turns it just fine. pretty quiet too.

I just bought a CP-825 1/4" which has a working torque range of 6-20 Nm. It hasn't arrived yet so cant really comment on its performance but being CP I don't think I will be disapointed.

No, 12 foot pounds is like nut nunning. Look at the IR composite air ratchets. CP is good but, IR is better.

I have the Matco MT1835. Fair price, quiet, and 25lbs/ft.

I have the CP, works well and dont even think about the torque, was cheap, about 60 on sale and works as well as any ratchet I ever use.

I got an IR stubby, I think its the IR103 or something like that. Basic, bare bones but its more than enough power for 1/4 inch drive.

$80 from the toolwarehouse, definitely look for a "stubby" model in 1/4 inch air ratchets. I wouldnt hesitate to look at the SK "ProGun" line either...

I usually reach for my IR 1215Ti flathead air ratchet. It will get into tighter spots than my FAR25A and still has 25 ft/lbs of torque to do the job. More than enough for a 1/4 drive, light weight composite body and an easy to reach reverse lever.
