Looking for a nice, compact 1/2" impact. If anyone owns either of these, please comment below. If like to know what people think. If anyone has a direct comparison EVEN BETTER!

King Tony M7: Mighty Seven (NC-4611Q) Mighty Quiet 1/2" Mini Impact Wrench https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G6KXRAS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

CP 7732: Chicago Pneumatic CP7732 1/2 Inch Impact - The Stubby (Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IAC0HNK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I have the M7 and so far I think it is a great little gun. I can use this in places where my 3/8 nitro cat wont fit. they are coming out with 2 new guns. The NC-4232Q which is a little longer but @ 700lbs and NC-4630Q which is a little shorter than the 4611 @ 600lbs.

thought about selling my 4611 and getting the 4630q but idk if it is worth it

Muffduster...

Auto Service Professional did a review on the NC-4611Q, check it out.

CobraChevelle is right about the NC-4630Q (coming out in April) and the NC-4232Q already out.

Here is more info on the 3 units side by side comparison.

m7 3 mini comparison

Not only is theNC-4611Q more powerful than the CP, it looks a lot better, feels a lot better in your hand, quieter, and also now has a 3 year limited warranty on it.

You can't go wrong with m7.

That NC-4630Q (shortest 3 7/8" model) info looks to be out of date.

They've been slowly scaling back the stats for months for some reason. Used to say 600ft/lbs like shown there and then I saw a full page spread ad in a magazine in December for it and it said 500 ft/lbs, now they all say 450ft/lbs.

On the website:

Square Drive: 1/2"
Bolt Capacity: 5/8" (16mm)
Torque Range: 200-350ft-lb (271-475Nm)
Max Torque at 5 Seconds: 450ft-lb (610Nm)

Thanks for bringing this to attention. m7airtools.com is the Australian Branch.

For clarification, different countries measure specs at different times and at different PSI ratings, and m7 has known to be very conservative with their ratings.

m7 measures the specs for the US market always at the recommended 90 PSI and at 5 seconds which would put the NC-4630Q at a tested 600 ft-lbs.

If a direct comparison is what you're looking for, our twin hammer 1822 Nano Impact (3.85" long, 450ft/lb) tested at 7% more power in reverse than the CP 7732 and 12% more power forward on the same calibrated instrument.

While being this much shorter:

They are in stock this week and warehouses should have them in stock soon.

Kevin, is the 4630 more powerful than the 4611, and if so, how much more?

Op, I have the M7 NC-4611Q and use it as my daily impact. The small size is a huge advantage, and it has enough power for 99% of what I do, only had to pull out the trusty IR Titanium a couple times.

Chris who stocks these guns and what is the warranty on them? I searched just now and don't see them anywhere.

I have the cp, no complaints what so ever. Great support also. Would buy again even at a higher price. I have the boot on order now from my tool guy.

if i were a pro mechanic i would buy m7 air tools.. the cost vs perfromance vs size on many of their items is too big to ignore, and they offer so many different variations in design, you can outfit an entire air tool collection for under $1000 and have just about everything you could ever want. this is NOT my picture, but look at that - how do you afford to NOT own their tools if you work on cars..

The NC-4630Q life test rated it at about 100 ft-lbs more torque than the NC-4611Q at 5 seconds.

If you need the shorter length, by all means go with the NC-4630Q when it is available... however if you don't, and 500 ft-lbs are plenty for the applications you need, stick with the NC-4611Q.

I would actually recommend the new NC-4232Q that just came out. It is a twin-hammer composite with 700 ft-lbs.... just a tab bit longer than the NC-4611Q, but with more power. The twin-hammer also is better due to less wear to the internals. It also has a front grease port for oiling. The fwd/rev switch is also next to the trigger, which has been a preference for some because when you get caught in tight spaces, you won't be able to access the back of the gun like others, so the trigger switch is more convenient, but that's just user opinion.

Are the other versions only single hammer?

you are correct! Single hammer isn't bad... it just depends on how you are using the tool, and its application. The twin hammer has a center support to give tools a longer life span. You can always extend the life of tools by doing the recommended maintenance of course... regardless if they are single hammer or twin.

I got my 4630 yesterday. At first glance it is a bit awkward for me to hold, as I have smaller hands. Out of the box it was kind of doggie, but after one day of use it has picked up nicely. Mine does feel out of balance when running free. I'd like to hear other people's experience to see if this is normal for the single hammer guns.

I've now seen 4 different ratings published for this impact between publications, their own website, their foreign website and now online retailers.
I have no idea how much power this tool makes, but I'll bet a buffalo nickle it's not 600ft/lbs or even within 10% of that.

If anyone wants to send me one to test on a calibrated machine, I'll pay return shipping.

I'd agree that it's not puting that much out, but the tool does have 600ft lbs on the rear tag so I'd say that's what they are rated at by the king;)

I have tested all 3 M7 compact 1/2" impacts & all three of them CAN hit the advertised torque ratings (500, 600, & 700 ft-lbs reverse). I have a full video review coming soon....but they are very powerful.

I doubt mine is. I have an 80 gal compressor with 1/2" pipe/hose and 3/8" fittings. Flows very well.
