We have a new all makes repair shop and are looking at automotive AC equipment. We haven't decided on an "automatic" machine or components yet, but have been shopping around a bit.

One supplier has quoted us on CPS equipment, specifically an AR2788s auto machine, and in separate units, the CR700, VP6D, and gauges, scale, etc.

I have never heard of this company, and have only used Robinaire in the past.

Their equipment looks simple, is made from steel rather than plastic, and boasts all the bells and whistles. The salesman claims it is all he sells and has great success with it, but what else would he say?

Anyone have any experience with this company and their products? Or does CPS stand for Chinese Piece of S***?:)

I've used some of their tools, but not the reclaimer. They're OK, comparable to Fieldpiece.

Yellow Jacket and Robinaire are my main choices.

How is Mahle? I see them but I don't know if they're worth purchasing or not; our local auto parts store has one in the back that a shop changed their mind on, and they're willing to make a extremely good deal on it to get it out of their store.

I have the CPS VG200 micron gauge. It works. There's not much more to tell than that it works, and it's cheap.
