Do not use caulk. It will shrink over time and polyurea will not adhere to it. Do not use a self-leveling crack sealant. These are too flexible and polyurea will not adhere to it. Hey everyone,
I'm prepping my garage floor for a polyurea coating and want to make sure I use the right crack filler before applying the coating. I've seen some recommendations for epoxy-based fillers and self-leveling caulk, but I want something that will bond well and not cause adhesion issues with the polyurea.
For those who have done this before—what products have worked best for you? Any specific brands or techniques to ensure a smooth and durable result? Also, should I be concerned about flexibility vs. rigidity in the filler to prevent future cracking under the coating?
Appreciate any insights!
