Howdy. I have a small vertical 15 gal compressor by Craftsman. its a 919.166441. Since day one it has never shut off at the cut out point and runs until it blows the pop off safety valve. Circumstances prevented me from getting it fixed and now its way off warranty. Before I spend $40 on a new pressure switch, is there a way to adjust the one on there now? Thanks.

Beautiful. Looks like I have the Furnas type switch. Actually, MasterTool sells a Furnas for $40 to replace the Craftsman switch that Sears sells for $80plus. Going to turn that adjustment screw counterclockwise and see what happens. Many thanks for that video.

Or you could complain to/call DeVilbiss Air Power and they may help you as they made that compressor for Sears. I have had good luck with them in the past.

Turned the adjustment screw and it worked fine. Put switch cover back on and didn't shut off. Re-attached cover, now it works like it should have.
Once again, many thanks for the video link. :D

Naw man, its a craftsman. Even those chocolate tools they sell during the holidays are covered under warranty.

I have had good luck with Devap made Sears Craftsman air compressors. I have always found them to do the right thing and stand behind it.
