I got those about 2 years ago when they were $33 for the set for 1/2 a day. It was a mistake they honored. I like them.

Those rats are BA. Far and away my faves, better hand feel than any snap on I have ever used even.

I have the Taiwan ones. My dad has the original USA ones. I bought them thinking I was getting USA but after I got home noticed the tiny print on the package. Good ratchets I think they were a craftsman club deal for $39 or $49 a year or two ago.

I got a set of the USA made ones a few years ago and really like them. But I find that the 1/4" ratchet resets direction sometimes when rapidly ratcheting something down.
Perhaps I need to disassemble for lubing and tightening of the spring.

I have a USA set that I've used pretty hard before I turned into a tool snob with Snap on and Armstrong. They always held up and are pretty comfortable.

How do these compare to craftsman premium grade? These are more in my price range since I do not need them.

I would say better. I'm not a fan of the 84T mechanism in the premium CMAN ratchets. Too many reports of failure and locking up. This 60 tooth design is fantastic however.

Thats a tiny ratchet! :lol_hitti

I loved my USA made ones but sold them off to get the premiums. The 1/2" handle was really fat and the premiums just fit my hands better. I do miss the quick release though.

I have a USA made set. They came in the socket modules I bought a few years ago. I like them better than the premium ratchets. I think they are one of the nicest best performing ratchets Craftsman has produced.

I've had the 3/8" version of this ratchet for several years now. IMO it is excellent, and it is my go-to ratchet.

1. I really like the way it fits in my hand
2. Ratcheting action is smooth, despite the fact it's not 80 or 120 or howevermany teeth.
3. The quick release is very secure when desired
4. The quick release is quick and easy to release when desired

I only have the 3/8" version currently (and wouldn't mind a backup), so I'm in for a set. Pretty good price.

Yes pretty good for the money but the duel 80 are a lot nicer. I think the hf composite ratchets are nicer than these they have 72 teeth and cheaper. But to each his own.
I would not consider either of those to be low profile. I have a Tekton composite and it's nice but not near as nice as these.

And again, the hand feel is amazing, it fits perfectly.

I have the half and 3/8, no real need for a quarter in my line of work.

I used a $10 in points on $50 coupon through SYWR... It was the only one that would apply. Also took the guy 15 mins to find my ratchets but he frantically stopped the clock at 4:52, so no $5 coupon for me. I wasn't about to break the guy's balls over it, but it's not the first time I've seen them skeeve around the 5 minute pickup guarantee.

I've gotta say it depends myself. The 1/2" dual 80 is nicer than the 1/2" thin profile. The 3/8" are about the same in my book, and the 1/4" (or 1/8" if you prefer ) thin profile is better than the dual 72.

Your Sears must be busy, or run by monkeys, or both lol.

I don't think I've ever waited longer than 45 seconds at mine lol.
