The deep impact sockets sets are on sale right now for $35.99. Plus you can get an additional 10% off or 20% back in points with the Friends and Family promo going on. Used some bonus points i scored today buying other stuff and stacked a few coupons/other bonus points and got both sets. Ended up costing $8 and some change but got $12 back in points for a grand total of -$4 for both sets. Here's the links to the sets.

thanks for the heads up - I needed a set of these!
Not sure if you have the coupon yet, but if you go to the "Shop'in" part of the SYW app, you can click on your local Sears and get a $5 off $20 in tools coupon. That was one of the coupons I stacked today. Good luck.

I always wonder why it goes down to 3/8, 1/2 should be the smallest if even.

How often do you use a 3/8 socket on a 1/2 impact....

If I'm using a 1/2 impact on a project, and run into a few 3/8 or 7/16 bolts, its quicker to just change sockets than to. Change gun and socket set.

True, but often smaller sizes aren't easily accessible with and big impact and sockets, requiring3/8 or eve 1/4 inch drive and a ratchet.

I thought Craftsman impact sockets were Cr-Mo and Evolv's were Cr-V. These are "black vanadium".

$39 now...

They were $35.99 with the F&F discount, which is now over.

I just picked mine up today and was disappointed to see they are Chinese. Maybe that was known by some/all but I couldn't see something that was originally " $89.99 " for 12 sockets be China but I was wrong apparently.

Debating on keeping them or not, might as well go grab some HF impact sockets for cheaper at this point lol.

If you are willing to go Chinese, HF is the smartest option. If you want Taiwan, I would still buy HF Pro. Cripe has a pretty decent deal that you can piece together on 3/8" drive (and I believe 1/2" as well)

This was one of the first things that went over seas. The china ones are actually very decent tho, as are the evolv Taiwan ones.

All three local Sears to me have nothing but Chinese impacts, every variation of the sets and the few singles. Also tried ordering from the site a while back as I've had good luck getting old USA stock that way before, but even those were Chinese. I think the ship has sailed on that one (pun not intended.)

Not bad, I wonder if any coupon codes will stack?

The swivels look to be the u-joint kind. If they where the pinless type, I'd be all over this.

good deal :thumb up:, but I have to pass.

I have been able to use the coupon codes from the "shop-in" portion of the shop your way app. (they have a $5 off 20) I also had a $10 in points on 50 from the bottom of a previous order...

I don't think craftsman makes u-joint style impact swivels.

Nice, used the $5 off $20.

Brings it down to $39.99.

I almost bought the single 1/2 10" extension the other day at the local store, and it was like 14 bucks for just that one single, so walked away.

That $5 off of 20 resets every day too... I see today my $55 coupon is $12 in points back. you can stack them together too...

Oh. I also see I can stack a $10 in surprise points on $50, if I add $10.01 worth of filler. So browsing for something I need for 10 bucks. Knocks $5 off, then knocks another $10 off.

So this deal looks very coupon friendly, so get creative!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could use the Save15 code with the $12 points on $55. Too bad save15 won't work anymore

Where are you guys getting these coupons from? Are they regional? Mine always has the same ones, and they ****.

I got the App on my phone and it has that $5 on $20 which is nice, but I always see people posting coupons that I've never seen.

Do you have all these? The more you have, the more coupon variety you get.

* Smartphone app. (free)
* Craftsman Club (free)
* Shop Your Way Rewards Club (free)
* Shop Your Way MAX free shipping ($39.99 a year, but check SlickDeals because every couple months there are deals for 99 cents for a year, 90 day free trials, etc.)

I have all of those, yes. But I usually don't check them individually, I guess I should start.

Go to "My Profile", "About Me", "Contract Preferences" on the Sears website.

Make sure you have the checkbox selected on this:

SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS promotional emails Offers, promotions and statements NOTE: SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS Bonus Members who opt out of receiving program promotional emails will become Base Members and no longer be eligible to earn Bonus Member points.

If you opt of of this email SPAM, then you won't get bonus points, surprise points, or coupon codes. So make sure the box is checked to receive the emails. I know it's a trade-off, between getting SPAM a couple times a week and getting free points, or not getting SPAM and not getting points and coupons.

I also have this one checked, but don't this it is necessary to get the surprise points and bonus points offers:

Sales, coupons & promotions
Sears coupons & promotions

They are not sockets, but if you want USA impact extensions and swivels, the recent reviews state these are USA:

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-8-pc...p-00915358000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Plus they are on sale for $45 right now!

Okay, got the Impact accessory set, and added two pool chlorine dispensers I needed on half off sale as fillers to bring it over $50.

$44.99 Craftsman Club price.

- $5 off $20 spent, to bring it to $39.99

- $10 off surprise points for $50 spent, to bring it to $29.99

+ $6 bonus points for next time with coupon for $6 points for $35 spent, effectively brings it to $23.99.

+ $2 points for purchase for next time, effectively brings it to $21.99.

That's pretty good, especially considering the fact that I almost bought just the single 10" 1/2 drive extension at the local store earlier this week that was $14.99 for just that one single piece. For a little bit more, I'm getting the full set of accessories.

The swivel in the accessory pack *****. It is the pin type.

I do wish they'd sell the 3" and 6" extension separately. I've been waiting a while for them.

Agreed, but the 2 pack of the pinless are like 50 bucks. I would have jumped on this immediately if they were pinless, but I waiting a couple days to get some coupon stacking going.

Plus, I don't really use swivels. I bought this set specifically for the extensions. I figure the swivels and the 1/2 to 3/8 converter is just thrown in as a freebee for my purposes. I could probably sell the two USA swivels on ebay for 20 bucks or so, effectively bringing my cost close to zero for the extensions.

These or the HF ones?
I've got some points to burn but I've got some other things I'm looking at too.

Don't forget if you have a discover card to shop through shop discover for 10% back in rewards on your card... (which you can turn into lands end (works at sears) giftcards at a $20 for $25 exchange rate...)

How often do you use a 3/8 socket on a 1/2 impact....

When a 1/2 stud that is grade 8 (or better) ends in a 3/8" hex, and needs to be extracted.

Just got my Impact Drive accessory set. All pieces are Made in the USA. The extensions are nice. Not the best in the world, but pretty decent and made in the USA. I have a set of Harbor Freight extensions, and the Craftsman seem better quality.

The extension are very nice, the 1/2 to 3/8 converter is very nice. But the swivels are the pin type. They are big, clumsy, and clunky. I'm probably never going to use the swivels, except on some rare occasion. The 3/8 swivel seems like it might be decent and usable, but the 1/2 swivel is a boat anchor, don't think I'll use that one ever.

I think this set at full retail isn't a good deal. But on sale, with coupon code stacking, then it brings it down to a decent deal. I think a $45-$50 price range on this set is a fair deal, anything more would be to much.

I just noticed that they gave me 12,000 surprise points. That's $12 off and it works on this set... only good until tomorrow though
