Does any one use slide bars? I just got one replaced that was really beat up with using a pipe on it over the years on our dairy farm lol. The square drive only moved like an inch and was at one end. Its a craftsman 1/2" drive, 15'' long bar #44151. The ball detents were gone or not working . The shaft appeared to be on the soft side when using pipes on it.

The Guy who i gave it to for the exchanged didn't have one in stock so they shipped it UPS out to me directly from Sears. :bowdown:Sears has an awesome warranty replacement service! :beer::thumbup:

I've got them in 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 (10" & 15").

The 1/4 & 3/8 get the most use of them all (which isnt often). They do work nice when you have to back off something fast or used like a speeder handle.

EDIT;

They do work nice when you have to back off something fast

Better discription of what I'm talking about;

When used with a socket that fits the screw, these also work good when using 2-3 jaw & other pullers. They allow steady even pressure to be applied

My 3/4 drive has never had a socket on it that I can recall. I hate them

I have C-man 1/2" and 3/4". I don't use the 1/2" much, but I regularly use the the 3/4" when I take lug nuts off.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. This is the best use for a sliding handle. I have them in 1/4" and 3/8" drive, but not 1/2".

I find they are stronger than breaker bars when using a pipe my 3/4'' and 1'' get used every once in a while when something is really ugly

also good for lug nuts
use with an extension, break it loose and then slide the handle to the middle and spin it
