Craftsman 1/2 Flex Head Rebuild Kit number?

Hello all,

Question what is the correct rebuild kit for a Craftsman 1/2 Flex head like the one pictured below? The handle show the -V-44974, couldn't find a concrete answer? Also, is there a kit for different ratchet that would work better maybe a more tooth rebuild kit? Let me know your thoughts.

44784 is the ratchet repair kit that should fit your ratchet. Unfortunatly, there are no tooth upgrades for your ratchet.

eBay is most likely your best option for a source, or a want to buy ad in the Wanted section of this forum.

This one^ may work, but , need to see a pic of the selector side of the ratchet.
The drive gear/anvil should be the same.
Have you taken it apart to clean & lube it & see what parts are broken?

Keep in mind that ratchet was also produced under the brand names KD, Easco and Napa. Thus, maybe a rebuild kit under one of those brands would work? There’s a rebuild kit cross reference chart here somewhere...

I see that USA made craftsman tool prices have spiked. I would sell that ratchet and put the money into a higher tooth count ratchet. I had that same tool. Ended up giving it to my brother in law and getting a Husky rhft flex head off eBay sooo much better!
