hey all new guy here , great forum .
i have a broken impact that sears will not warrenty , just over 1 yr old and no reciept .
is there any place i can get replacement parts so i can repair this gun ?
169.00 air gun is worth 0 when busted .there is a broken "pin" inside gun
i really hate to just toss it but is looking that way

Depending on the model; some of the "pro" craftsman impacts, I believe are OEM'd by Florida Pneumatic, they might be of help as well: http://www.florida-pneumatic.com/; others were just re-badged Ingersoll Rand units. I don't mean to be a kill joy but I typically do not recommend any of the craftsman air tools aside from the IR rabadged units... they just don't seem to hold up under use...

Sears parts is about the only thing they do right. I broke the handle on my circular saw, $6 shipped. I got a free (1985) water softener, with two broken plastic clips, $3.75 shipped. I got a free lawn tractor, needed battery cables, steering parts, washers, all sorts of stuff, $120.

Dad has a 35 year old router that shot craps. He called them up and got new brushes and bearings for $20.

depending on what the pin looks like, if it's not sold anywhere, maybe you could make one, or have one machined for you

From the exploded view online; that looks like a Florid Pneumatic unit, IMHO...

The question now becomes what caused the pin to break? Most of the time it's caused by unintentional abuse. What I mean by that is this, if you apply power for more than 6 seconds & the bolt has not come loose, stop! Get a bigger & more powerful impact.

Good call.... fix the impact sell it, trade it in or somehow wrap the value of the impact into a IR, Snap-On, Matco, Mac or Aircat.... models that people have been raving about. I think you cannot go wrong with a IR; I have had good luck with pawn shops, just make sure they give you a couple of days to test out the tool or just stuff it; buy a brand new one! I will say that in my box 90% of all my air tools are used (all Snapon, Matco, Mac,) and I have been generally lucky with finding good used stuff and haven't paid more then $50 for any one of them!
