I didn't buy one, I just posted it because I've seen some people comment that they liked them but didn't like the $40 retail price.

I've also seen it posted that they were discontinued??? Was this model ever USA made?

yes, i have one and it is a fine ratchet. it looks like the old cman ratchets but it is not a quick release and has a smaller head than the standard raised panel qr 1/4 drive cman ratchet . i have been told the internals of it were the same as a matco (?) ratchet.

The USA one was believed to be a different OEM than their regular ratchets. It was much higher priced, had no quick release, and uses a different rebuild kit.

The imported ones have the quick release, and I believe use the same rebuild kit as the regular 1/4 ratchets.

Sounds like we've established it is not the same ratchet as when it was first introduced. Guess we can scratch that one off the list.
