Craftsman impacts are thick wall cr-v. I would rather buy a nice set of thin wall cr-mo especially for 1/4 drive

I have the 1/2" deep and standard sets they go down to 12mm and 3/8
If I add the 3/8" they are duplicates except for 10 and 11mm

These two add more smaller sizes with less duplication

As I don't need impacts that much in my life they should be ok. Really if you need a 4, 5,6mm impact to remove a stuck nut you could use a standard socket and not damage it.

how do you know the material that is used?

I have never seen a Craftsman impact denote the material on a socket.

neither does snap on.

I have noticed the craftsman industrial impacts have the "USA" stamping vertical, just like snap on does.

I was able to get 12 boxes of both metric and SAE. Names below the line are not guaranteed both sets, but may if someone above doesn't pay or backs out. At the moment, it looks like I will end up with 2 extra boxes of the SAE. If anyone is interested in just the SAE, please let me know via PM. If anyone wants to back out, no worries, just please let me know so I can offer them to the next person in line. Oh and I checked one box of both sets and they are stamped made in the USA.

Below are the cost breakdowns. I prefer PayPal as I won't have to wait for a check/money order to clear. Don't send as friend as I will have to decline it. I will not open the plastic bag the sockets are in, but will remove and discard the outer box. I have never used the flat rate boxes, but assume I can get bunches of them and these should fit no problem.

Price for 1: $24.82 or Price for 2: $34.64. Please send to my user name at yahoo dot com.

FYI - actual costs:
One set: $12 +0.72 tax + $5.20 shipping = $19.92. + PayPal fee $0.90 = $20.82
Two sets: $24 +1.44 tax + $5.20 shipping = 30.64. + PayPal fee $1.22 = $30.64

I should have asked for someone's shop your way number. Instead, I gave them to an unknown coworker (several thousand of us share a number).

Fyi, I visited my local Sears Outlet and they had a couple boxes as well. Picked up one of each.

Portage (49002) Michigan location.

Why's That?

I'm not trying to be difficult, but I have heard that the sender can reclaim their money after the fact. I have no experience with this, but have heard it multiple times and the sticky on the classified section states not to use it.

I think they say not to use it in classifieds so the buyer has the PayPal guarantee in case they don't receive the product.

I've never heard of someone sending money then having the ability to take it back unless they try to dispute it somehow.

There are a few examples there of how gifting can go wrong (granted charge backs can always be a pain) but paypal automatically assumes a gift was just a gift and no products were exchanged, so you can't be out more than the "Gift"

For $1.20 here it is cheap insurance both ways. For all you know nothing is shipped and you have no recourse as you just gave a gift (Not that I expect that here, but still it happens)

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

Thanks to all that have paid (most, but I'm not tracking it). I hope to swing by the post office tomorrow to grab some flat rate boxes and get these things headed your way.

I can't remember if stated it earlier, but I left a few boxes of the SAE on the shelf. Bought all of the metrics. I had 12 orders at noon today for the metrics and have received a few more since then. If you were after #12, you are most likely out of luck. Sorry!

For Radrush, I saw the screwdriver and pro intermediate box you mentioned, but bought neither. I too don't need another screwdriver. I have considered an intermediate box many times, but most aren't deep enough to fit my top box. And it would make the top drawers difficult to see into.

I saw these about two months ago and posted about them then. The rush of people that want them now is kinda strange, lol. FWIW, most people that checked their local outlet store found these then, may still be worth the trip to check so you don't have to deal with PP and shipping.

never showed up in mine though they are horrible about placing the tools out for display, they had about 10 boxes of 1/2" drive deep sockets 13mm -19mm for 13 bucks, skipped 18mm lol. no impacts though, same box with different part numbers.

after reading this post, just for grins I went to the Sears clearance center near my house in southern cali as I hadn't been for a long time.

there was nothing there, just some mismatched tool boxes - i was amazed as they always had a little assortment of tools, but nadda this time.

I got boxes at the post office today. Folded them all up, and stuffed them with sockets. Then printed and taped labels. Well, 9 of them. These will be shipped tomorrow.

I THINK PayPal sends an email when the label is created. If you didn't get an email, let me know. This has been a huge pain as people's username doesn't match their real name and often not their email address. Oh, and I got one payment but no address. :) That one was sent back

My local store had the 1/4 Metric Impact set. I also found an 9 piece deep well Metric set with ratchet, all pieces USA made for $10. A 3/8 SAE deep well 8 piece and a 9 piece SAE chrome set. Theres about 12 left of each. Pasted on the 1/2 6 piece set for 12.50.

I appreciate the kind words! 9 boxes shipped out today. One more was labeled today for shipment tomorrow (Richardcranium). One I am waiting for resend of PayPal (CNGSaved)(he paid but I refunded it because PayPal didn't have his address and at the time, I wasn't keeping all this straight, just labeling via PayPal). Bryan750 was moved up the list today and offered a set as a second person dropped. Jeopardy is up next, if memory serves.

Please drop me a note if I missed anything. And for anyone considering a mail order business, don't do it unless you are retired. :)

Sockets shipped out today to CNGSaves and RichardCranium. The last set was offered to Bryan750 yesterday, but no response. Offer extended to Loranger who was next up in the queue.
