I'd take one each as well if there's enough to go around.

Its very cool of you to go through the hassle of buying/shipping.

Thanks, Jeff

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

fourjeepin ---- You should be advised that there are more sets over at the Tucker, GA Sears outlet. I happened to be over that way today and saw maybe twice as many as were previously at the Marietta store. However, these are currently marked $14.99.

That Tucker location had loads more tools than the Marietta store. They had all kinds of USA pliers and wrenches and sockets and stuff. I was surprised.

Thanks, but Tucker is really far for me and I didn't buy anything (for myself) when I went to the Marietta location.

I'd like a set of both if at all possible Kaervak. I've posted my interest in these before, hoping this one is goes through.

Thanks

I would also be interested in 1 of each if any are left.
Let me know a total and I can pay now and you do not have to use your money?

:see:

My county sales tax is 0.8%

Two sets after tax $28.06, one set $14.03. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box is $5.25. With shipping $33.31 for two sets, $19.28 for one. The paypal fee (2.9% + $0.30) is $1.26 for two sets and shipping, $0.86 for one set and shipping.

That brings the totals to:
$34.57 for both sets
$20.14 for one set

Withhold payment until I actually gets the sets.

The price may ring up lower than what the tag is.

I'll head out tomorrow afternoon to get them.

Heh, looks like I'll be buying every box they have of the SAE & Metric.

I hope there's enough to go around. I did go to both Sears outlet stores by me and the other one did have the sets as well, but they were marked at the $17.99 price point. If I can't get everyone covered from the one outlet I'll call the other and see if that's the actual price. If they're $12.99 there too, I'll head there and get the rest of the sets for everyone.

I managed to get nine sets. The other outlet store has them at $14.99 and won't price match. If no one else can get them at the $12.99 price I'll head back and get the rest that still want them covered.

I've done this before for people on here in a group to avoid a huge headache on yourself, ask everyone when they send you paypal money to list their actual name and address and also their screen name in the paypal instructions box. You will find a lot of screen names and emails are different and you'll be clicking everywhere trying to get them organized. Ask Fourjeepin, he probably had some last week when he did this.

Good luck

PM's sent out to those I was able to get sets for. I'll get them all boxed up and ready to be shipped out as soon as I'm able to.

Here's the list of people still looking for sets:

kawitter: Both sets
Bull: Both sets
tfedullo: Both sets
littleponderosa: Both sets
mikebaker1129: Both sets
Two Door: Both sets
wkndwarrior29: Both sets
Sparkyjack: Metric only

If no one else can get them at $12.99 the other outlet by me has them for $14.99 I don't mind heading back and doing this again. :)

I'm still good for both at the higher price.

Edit - Assuming you decide to go to more lengths on top of what you have already done.

Kaervak that had some on a shelf by the back of the store at least ten of each @north olmsted store..

Oh yeah, I cleared them out. They only have three of the SAE sets left now. :D The Willoughby one has at least 10 of each left @14.99.

Side note, the ones at North Olmsted rung up at $14.99 when scanned, but the price tag on the box was $12.99 I'm sure at some point the Willoughby ones will be $12.99 too.

The nearest Sears Outlet to me is 1 hr 45 min, in the Boston area. Probably more like 2.5 hours with traffic. I'll have to remember to hit it up next time I go to Boston

I don't understand the allure to the craftsman 1/4" set....what makes them so wanted and what uses??....because I can't see a lot of torque required for 1/4" sockets that a normal hand socket wouldn't do...

:see:

Some slickdeal fever going on in this thread. Just because its cheap doesn't make it a deal. 15 sockets for 26 plus 5 to ship or 8 sockets for 13 + $5 to ship. Comes out to a bit over $2 per socket, its really not that great of a deal. SK 12pc metric is $35 any day of the week.

Also hope people realize these are shallows. If you're going to have one set of 1/4 impacts, get deeps.

It is a good deal, because it is hard to find Craftsman USA 1/4 sockets. 12pc SK Set for $35 is $2.91 a socket.

I saw these about two months ago and posted about them then. The rush of people that want them now is kinda strange, lol. FWIW, most people that checked their local outlet store found these then, may still be worth the trip to check so you don't have to deal with PP and shipping.

Ah but the OP used the word "rare". Did you? "Rare" and $12!

Actually I wrote "super rare." :)

Include screen name in the PayPal would have saved me some time. With some, it is easy to figure out. Others didn't seem to make any sense or they convinced SWMBO to pay for them.

Oh, and don't send as gift. If sent as gift, PayPal doesn't give a shipping label print option. I had to send a couple of these back. Other than this, it was relatively painless.

Just waiting on payment from two more users. The rest have been boxed up, labels printed and will go out tomorrow morning before work.

For those still interested at the $14.99 price, the earliest I can get them is Wednesday. That's my next off day from work. If someone else can them at the $12.99 price before Wednesday, snag yourself a set. Otherwise I'll make the trip again and get sets for those interested.
