I have to ask. What do you need a 1" drive ratchet for???

If I was really interested in purchasing it I would ask the guy to take a picture of a ruler or even better a caliper across the drive square. That way you could verify the drive size.

Dont you work for sears? I would think of all people you would be able to find this out the easiest.
I know ive seen 3/4 drive ratchets and sockets sitting on the bottom shelves. Never seen a 1 inch drive.

Im pretty sure at 1 inch drive most people are only using 1 inch impact guns.

Do you have the item # or link to the auction? Members have posted craftsman repair kit #s in several threads and have never seen 1" drive listed--just 3/4". I have never worked with any mechanic that had a craftsman 1" drive ratchet either--some of them are craftsman tool addicts!

I've never heard of such a thing but then again if other manufactures why wouldn't Cman make it. They practically make everything.

Actually Craftsman makes NOTHING that I'm aware of. its simply a sears trademark and the tolls are made to Sear's specs, or they buy them with Craftsman labeled on the tools.

I have a Plvmb (Proto) 1" ratchet, and a couple of sockets, and a 17" extension. no impact...

For the better good of all, hopefully someone chimes in with what other manufacturer's repair kit can convert a Craftsman 3/4" ratchet to 1". ;)

Just my 2cents worth look at the1 1/2" socket if that ratchet was 1" drive the socket would only have 1/4" on each side of the square drive hole and probably wouldn't be a step down socket, looks to be a 3/4 drive Sears standard ratchet with a 3/4 drive 1 1/2" impact socket,in my narrow minded opinon. Sears does make 1" drive impact sockets though , I saw them listed on their online site. If I can figure how to post a pic I will........Craftsman 3 in. Easy-To-Read Impact Socket, 6 pt. Standard 1 in. Drive
Sears Item# 00915074000 | Model# 15074

To cancel a bid on e-bay due to having a feedback score of 1 is kinda pathetic. Everyone has to start somewhere and if more people are like you, nobody would be buying or selling on e-bay.

The Craftsman number shows it as a 3/4 inch. Could it be a 1" possibly (if a replace head was found), but chances are someone doesn't there is 3/4" drive and listed it as what they think it is. Not like that doesn't ever happen on e-bay......

And if someone was to actually look at the picture, you would see the socket clearly says 1 1/2.

A ratchet is for anything you can't get an impact on. Final drive bolts on a cat dozer are a good example.

To my knowledge craftsman has never offered a 1" ratchet. They have a may still do have 1" impact sockets and impact wrench. The ratchet pictured is 3/4" and the op payed a good price.

..............

With Paypal being the default payment option, the "buyer protection" covers the flakes anyways.

The 1" drive ratchet, flex-T handle, and sockets are on page 234 of the 2013 Industrial catalog. Holy huge sockets - got a 3 1/2".

Apparently you can buy one for SKU: C923812 Price: $287.96 here

It looks like the craftsman industrial line has really expanded over the store stuff. I will say with confidences that that is an Armstrong ratchet. It looks very much like mine. Also, the large impacts are the same as Armstrong. I stand by the one the OP posted was 3/4" since it was of the classic rp design.

You have the Armstrong or the Craftsman branded version?

The Armstrong website gives the specs as 24 tooth. Doesn't seem like a lot of teeth foe an eleven pound ratchet.

HOLY bee-gee-sous the repair kit is listed as $171.08 !!

Double HOLY HOLY bee-gee-sous the 29 piece Armstrong socket set is $2,255.00.

That beats the heck out of that this old Taiwan Craftsman set:

The Proto's are also 24 tooth, but a tad heavier at 12-1/2 or so. The Kit was under 100 last time I looked. The ratchet by itself was $271 from Proto a year or so ago.

I have a brand new Armstrong 1" ratchet I bought too cheap to pass. I have no use for it so I welded a cheap socket to some flat iron to make a wall mount and hung it on the wall. I never checked the tooth count, but really low sounds s right. Big coarse teeth equal strength.

looks like 3/4" to me...the number from the bottom of the handle would help right about now. I have a couple of them. Caught buying the USA ones when the chinese garbage was coming into Sears.
I was in a tractor trailer/large truck garage and I think I saw a 1", really long.
For removing the really big lug nuts and other bigger bolts on a truck.
