I would assume this set doesn't sell high volume and the china version aren't on the shelves or even being made YET.......but I would definitely check the coo first. Picture on the site still has USA on all wrenches.

I've ordered full polish on line and received USA versions. Many of the sets in the stores are Chinese.

Yup.

My Local store has plenty of USA made Wrenches in open stock and the 9 piece sets. The high volume 12 piece sets (which are a better deal, few bucks more for 3 more wrenches) are all Chinese. I ordered a week or two ago from Sears.com and was shipped a 50 piece USA 1/2 drive socket set. Not a single chinese one in there (all stamped USA). Just depends on how many they sell, as there is still NOS floating for some products.

I have noticed that USA made tools are generally in a lighter colored plastic holder too. Chinese tends to be gray/black IIRC for the RP wrenches and the sockets.

You would think there would be a major price drop with offshore production but don't bet on it they already have the general public hook, line, and sinker for 70 years or so now.

A few years ago while window shopping with my wife I noticed and pointed out to her that COACH purses went from handmade in Italy to China and prices stayed the same......profit margins went up. Thankfully she hasn't wasted money on a high-dollar designer purse since we have been together.

Found one today that was made in USA. Old box, same design. Stated "Made in USA" on the front. The Chinese ones said "Made in China" on the back, next to the UPC.
