You got really lucky. Sears has been selling these things at $10 for almost a year, but I've never seen a US one...just mountains and mountains of Chinese ones since they ramped up stock for the holiday season last year.

Hmm, they only had one left in stock. Maybe I should pick it up too.

I picked up both the metric and sae to toss in my car. I really dont care for the ratchets at all. I have not used the sockets much to form an opinion.

Picked one of these up today at my hometown store to throw in the car. USA made. There is even a small storage compartment to throw in a couple extensions or swivel adapters or whatever. [/url]

I have all my trunk tools in one of those large Home Depot Homer boxes. I got some el cheapo HF socket rails to put the sockets on in order of size -- SAE and metric.

But I suppose keeping a milk crate filled with smaller tool cases would be a quick way to find what you need.

This is close to the first set I got long, Long, LONG time ago ! 3/8" and 1/4" SAE (I don't think metric existed back then:) ), 3/8" ratchet and a 3/8 - 1/4 adapter plus the 3" extension.

Good deal. I would be nice if there was space for a universal and a couple more extensions inside those blow mold boxes.

I found one at Sears under the local deals last winter/ early spring. It was a USA made. The latch on the case is the clue. If it is slide closure, it is USA. The other style of latch is Chinese.

There's also a size difference in the cases if I remember right and the shade of grey is also different...I haven't seen a USA set in the store in quite a while

Yup. Saw one set in the Durham store and the latch was the easy identifier.
