Though the link works for me via Craftsman club, it says unavailable to either ship or pick up in the store (though it tells me there is two left at my local store).

This had to have been a pricing error.

Printed out my screen since it wouldn't let me order online and the 'chat' folks were no help. I went into my store expecting a fight, but they rang up for $30. I used some surprise points and got out the door for $18. Amazing!

Picked one up earlier in the day and with surprise points got it for $20, may not use it often but at that price it's handy to have in the toolbox.

lol.

"You have reached this page because the product you selected is no longer available on our site, or is temporarily out of stock due to high demand."

I hardly ever bother with a Sears bargain since they have such a terrible web presence. Sometimes I wish that there was a separate forum area for Craftsman deals since they are hardly worth dealing with and people post so many of them.

I get this:

While the product you were looking for is no longer available, take a look at these related items.

I know what you mean. I had one of these in the cart & paid for. Then got the " Out of stock" email :lol_hitti

Went to sear a little bit ago. Web site will not show the sears local to me. Closest one it shows is an hour away. Anyway, they had 3 on the shelf for almost $200 and one in the bargain/clearance shelf for $139. Asked them about it and they said they don't know anything about it and they were not changing the price since it was on clearance. Go figure. I really don't like my sears anyway.

most sears workers don't know about the craftsman club prices... you should've went ahead and have them ring it up with your craftsman club info and see what happens... the computer would've knocked it down to $29.99

Mine is the same way. They get really annoyed when you order online and pick up in store. I think because the price is different or something.

Still waiting for the email of the chatlog to go through, but... The dude In The chat window said they could order it for you in store as well

The 29.99 is craftsman club only, have to log into that separately

Deal is suppose to be good through the 12 or 16

I did have them ring it up and used my club card. Still came up as almost $200. They said they would override to the $139 but only for the one on the clearance rack. Showed them on their own computer with my club card login the $29.99 price but they still didn't care. Apparently Alaska has their own special price on it. Tried to order it online and it wouldn't let me get it. Just said not available.

Lol, I had that exact convo with Steve (chat operator) about sears not accepting/honoring online pricing

He said they would place the order online for you, I was skeptical which is why I tried to email the conversation to myself

Ill post it if it comes through

Ordered one at store waiting to get picked up. Out the door for $21.00 with surprise points probably go in one of my boxes till I take the truck on a road trip then I will put it in the back as an emergency kit.

I absolutely love the 3/8 inch set, that thing rocks. Will buy this up in a heartbeat if I can get that kind of pricing, I really want a half inch set.

Guess thats it now back to 119. I wouldnt have even ever thought about buying had it been 119 but 29.99 ill take one lol. It is actually very nice for the 29.99 price tag. Funny thing about my set is i have all universal sockets but the 17mm is a black 6 point max axess but im cool with that hahaha. People saying these strip fasteners i have been checking mine out and they seem to grip very well and i have no feeling they would ruin a fastener. Under the reviews on the craftsman site it is almost all 5 star reviews not that that means much but usually they let them have it if it ***** lol.

People say a lot of things and I honestly doubt they have ever used the product, just love to hate on Craftsman. I love mine and it is my daily driver, probably not ideal for cars but absolutely perfect for a factory maintenance guy.

I was stuck in Dollywood and tried to load in cart all day and got an error.

Had the wife chat and they disconnected her twice when she asked them to find it in the store closest to her since they couldn't ship it, now I get home and use the desktop and it lets me add to cart for 119.99.

I also noticed some other stuff has changed prices since this morning. Jerks.

So I chat them myself and tell them what happened, get put on hold then told she can sell it to me for 29.99 and ship it to me free since my store does not have it.

I bought at full price plus 17.62 shipping and she refunded me 114.00. I have done this method before where I buy full price then give them the order number and they credit back the amount. Sears system is so messed up that is the way they do it. In fact it is so messed up right now she couldn't even place the order on her end, I had to do it on my end.

I always walked by the max access and universal **** and thought it was a gimmick and now I bought a meshed together version of it. I'd prefer 6pt like the standard max access has but 29.99 for a beater, extra set, in the truck is ok for me.

I think it's because they don't get their pitiful commission :lol_hitti

I always get attitude and they never fulfill my order in 5 minutes (they just mark it as completed in two minutes, and then disappear for the next 10).

The worst in-store pickup from the Sears appliance and hometown stores.

I felt the same way too... thought it was gimmick, but some of the others in the other thread said great things about it, especially this kit

so it seems this is their most uber "universal" kit, whereas their super duper 6 point chrome max axess kit is comparable in regular price but has other things in the kit I could care less about

I like how sturdy the case is compared to their ratchet/socket kits (regular sockets with raised panel ratchets) in the past... the killer price is well justified because the ratchets and the wrenches along would still cost a lot more even if they're on sale

based on some of the older max axess threads I found, this has been the most "hot buy" so far compared to the others over the past 7 months
