as a starter kit, maybe... but those ratchets are ****. the sockets are okay, but there's a lot of fillers in there with the bits. i regretted getting this kit a while ago and ended up selling it. i was better off just getting the 299pc socket set and then picking up the ratchets and other tools separately when they were on sale.

I keep one set in my trunk, and the back of the case has room for a couple of screwdriver, pliers. Petty handy as a road set.

^ that would be a nice set for the truck. The set I have been carrying is much larger but my wife complains that my tools take up too much of the back seat. I'm in for one, thanks!

Every time I add that to my cart, it reflects a price of $119.99. They also show a 220 piece set for $99.99, and when it's added to the cart it reflects a price of $199. I'm not interested in buying either, but just out of curiosity I went all the way up to the point of paying to see if the price would ever change, and it did not. There could have been one more step somewhere in there before the prices actually reflected the advertised price, but I didn't want to chance actually placing an order. I got all the way up to the point of "Place This Order", but I had selected Paypal and there could have been some sort of confirmation involved where the discounted prices would have been reflected. Regardless, it seemed a little bit effed up.
