Craftsman 15.6 Volt battery?

So my drill that I've had since buying my first house no longer seems to hold much of a charge. The drill came with a charger and 2 - 15.6 Volt batteries.

The trouble is that I'm not able to find replacement batteries - I've checked online and Craftsman only has the larger voltage batteries for sale. Anyone know of any options??

I'd hate to think that buying a new drill is a better alternative (even though this one isn't anything great). Just bugs me on principle.

Thanks,
Matthew.

15.6v? Kind of odd. Craftsman likes to make a million different drills with all different batteries and different chargers and different voltages. Then discontinue to line and the batteries 2 yrs later. Its their way to get you to buy a new drill. But all it really does is piss their customers off and they go out a buy better brands ie. dewalt , milwaukee etc. in my opinion toss the craftsman and dont buy another. Go buy a dewalt or an equivilant. They still offer batteries for even older models.

if its a "c" cell based battery pack, most rc shops can rebuild the pack or you can if you dont mind taking the old pack apart and soldering up new connections. I have a old 9.6v Makita that I can't part with, even though I have newer cordless, I still like the old makita and use it occasionally

Batteries Plus should be able to replace the cells if you want to keep that one. If not, then buy another major brand whose battery platform will be around for 10 years or more.

Thanks guys,
Might need to look at getting a new one - what a waste. It will definitely not be a craftsman...

Did you do a Google search? I just did and found a number of places selling rebuilt battery packs. They're not cheap, but they are available.
