found a nice craftsman bench top drill press with original motor and fellow gave wood table and set of drill bits.today. Runs excellent and was kept indoors. early bird catches the worm is so true. he was moving out of state and unloading so I believe I lucked out for 50.00. he used it basically for wood working and it has an attachment on the chuck along with another on the table. I have no idea yet what they were used for, so any assistance in identifying would be appreciated.
Because it has the oval Craftsman logo and the engine-turned trim panel with the three spoke feed handle hub, it is a Craftsman 100.
Also, because it is gold (Power Bronze), it is a very late 100, likely made in 1957 or early '58.
What is the model number? What is the date code on the motor plate?
Here are the hold-down and mortising accessories on pages 32 and 33 in the 1957 catalog:
I don't recognize that attachment at the bottom of the mortising frame.
The mortising accessory replaces the original feed stop bracket.
Did the seller give you the original bracket?
The original paint looks to be in very good condition.
Nice find at a great price!
