Craftsman 18" Bar Clamp

Just wanted to let you guys know I picked up a couple of bar clamps from the local sears on sale. Normally $23.99 and bought for $12.44.

These are my favorite. The OEM is on Amazon but the Crafty design is a slight alteration IIRC and is great. Have several in all sizes. Vastly superior in design and construction to the Irwin. At least for my needs.

Those are some really good clamps. I believe the oem is wolfcraft out of eastern Europe. Check the local ads because these can go on some really deep discounts. One other thing is that these are usually reversible which means they can be used as spreaders too.

Yes, I think that's right: Wolfcraft out of Slovakia or Czech Republic -- one of the two IIRC.

About 8-10 months ago, I was walking around my Sears store killing time. I noticed all the bar clamps were 60-75% off. There were only a couple left on the shelf at the time, and I was broke

Check you're local stores price at local.sears.com. Mine show a few clamps in stock and for half-price. The 24" is $13 vs. the 18" at $12. Some other bar clamps as well are on sale.
