I think I would rather opt for the Heavy-Duty version with the Lithium-ion battery.

That's a good price -- even for a Ni-cad version.

Harbor Freight has a corded one for only $50. Sure, it's corded but it will weigh less than a cordless ni-cad one, and it is more powerful.

The cordless one could be used on the side of the road for flat tires, but as rare of an event that is, might be better to just keep a 25" breaker bar with a 19mm socket in all your cars. With a flat, you are only changing one tire after all.

I actually bought the on in the OP, and almost right away upgraded to lithium. The Ni-Cd battery really does not give this thing much power. Even the basic lithium offers a noticeable difference, and the XCP is even better!

The standard with the Nicad will take lug nuts off a Super Duty torqued to 175 FP

The new Heavy Duty one with the XCP is much better though.

$90 is the lowest I ever see it. Bought one a while back at this price and didn't even bother with the NiCad, immediately paired it with the large XCP lithium battery (drops from $100 to 90 frequently, once in a while you can get it for 80 during Craftsman Days sales.) If I was buying one now, I would just get the new heavy duty version that comes with the lithium battery.
