I think the one handed recip is being discontinued. Not available for shipping and only one available in my area. Not sure if I should get it or not. I know I won't get tons of use out if it, but....

I'm not sure about that item being discontinued. I'd been waiting and waiting to see a price drop on that item and last week it was finalLy down. I think I paid $79.

So perhaps stock is just low due to the sale.

Ugh... I'll hold off for now. I think if I buy one more tool my wife's head is going to explode. I remember when I bought the kit I told her that was really all I'd need to get from the line. I've amassed a quite a little collection in a very short time. I still need to purchase a router, drill press, and replace my table saw. I think I need a part time job.

If you do a lot of trim work, that caulk gun would come in handy. When I replaced all the baseboards and door casings in my house, I used a lot of caulk. I would have welcomed that power caulk gun. Now, not so much. I guess if you're in the trade it would be nice to have.

That's exactly when I bought the caulk gun - replaced all of the wood trim in the house. It was a great deal on craigslist and came in handy. I wouldn't have bought it for retail price unless I needed it a couple times a month.

I can't say I ever saw the power spray painter in the stores. Does anyone have one?

Finally got that 19.2V C3 leaf blower today. These have apparently been discontinued while similtaneously continuing to be on display. A couple of months ago I offered to pay full price for the display tool. But no, we can't sell the diplay blah blah blah.... So today I'm pretty sure I got that same display tool for 40% off.

Good job Rad - what do you think of it?

This thread got me searching local Craigslist.
I found this....
d8b7aa95007b4fa17ed36818ad38b021.jpg
It's in good shape, all crystals, drive motor runs. :)
Steering does not work. :(
I'm gonna take it apart and see what's going on.

It's got a job: light duty. They call it a "leaf blower". And it could for sure blow a leaf....or...3. However, I use if for blowing out the garage and whatnot. I had a B&D model but it had different batteries with a different charger: what a headache.

Besides, if any serious blowing needs to be performed I'll break out the Stihl backpack blower.

I think I had some reviews that claimed it wasn't accurate. I think I'd like to get it (just because), but a 10" is more functional for me for 4"x4"s and flooring.

The other night I took a look at the terminals on both the C3 and Ryobi batteries and it doesn't look like that difficult of a job. If course, I couldn't take X-rays, so you don't know what's inside until you cut it open. Is there a youtube video of someone having done this already?

Or I wonder if someone makes an adapter to do this. They do look identical and both made in same factory.:dunno:

I have a C3 drill, two chargers and 2 dead batteries. I'll throw it in a flat rate box to one of you guys in trade for a good ball pien, pair of vice grips or channel locks. Let me know.

I really like the drill. It's a long story, but went to Dewalt.

Well this guy is expert at lots of things...plumbing, auto repair, and electronics...not sure how he sees those wires in that receiver with that light right in his eyes but anywhooooo...I hate the guy because he has that dang Pivoting LED Flashlight and it is apparently not possible to buy it separately.

It only comes in a 6 piece combo kit and I already own the other 5 pieces.

If I remember correctly C3 means Custom Cordless Combo. Not very custom when you can't buy the tools you want to make your own combo.

I hate when they do that. I guess I could buy the kit and sell off the unwanted tools on ebay; what a hassle.

Anyone want/need to buy a 1/2-inch Drill/Driver, Multi-Tool, Reciprocating Saw, 1/4-inch Impact Driver, 5-1/2-inch Circular Saw, one 19.2V Compact Lithium Ion Battery Pack, one 19.2V Full Size Lithium Ion Battery Pack, Charger and Bag for $220?

I have been looking for that light too. I guess I'm gonna have to buy the 6pc set then.

I found this guy on craigslist. I don't know if he will ship items or not.

According to the pics, he has a number of C3 tools in stock...

It looks like this is the place where all the leaf blowers went to!!!

I have 9 of the C3 line and love them. They have never failed me and have served me well. I have one lithium battery and 4 of the XCP batteries which are great. I also have 4 tools in the Nextec line which have been great. My only gripe with the Nextec line is it seems sears/craftsman is slowly fading them out.

Didn't know if you guys knew or not but Sears outlet has several C3 19.2V tools on clearance. And they will ship, which I thought was unusual.

http://www.searsoutlet.com/d/products.jsp?md=srh_md&stxt=c3+saw&fromUrl=search

They have the old dual laser 7 1\4" cicular saw model 11585 which I have not seen in stores for over a year or longer. If you go to a regular Sears today you see a trim saw with a smaller blade and no laser.

They also have the right angle drill and the hammer drill heavily discounted.

No caulking gums, planers, or routers

And no personal FANS !! That really chaps my ***.

Not sure why you are calling this a trim saw, but I've owned this 7 1/4" C3 saw for about four years and love it! It's a full blown cordless circular saw and though I just use around the house, I grab it over my corded Makita every time! I believe the largest C3 circular saw available now is the 6 1/2" and I have no clue why Craftsman dropped this 7 1/4" model. I'm tempted to buy another while available just for backup!

Edit: Another thing I like about this saw over my corded Makita is that it's left side blade, while my Makita is right side blade.

I think the latest Ryobi 6 1/2" model P507 has a newer motor that they claim gives it “corded-equivalent cutting performance.”

The Ryobi and C-Man 6 1/2" saws appear to have the same performance specs.

Since I like the front/rear laser guides, I'll take the 1000 less RPMs on the 7 1/4" saw.

Need fan. Need fan. Man, I'm going to just end up buying a cheap spring clamp fan and using that instead.

Awesome prices. Thanks for posting this.

Found a HAMMERHEAD on clearance. Kind of a goofy tool but oddly handy when you need it. A fellow GJ in another state picked up and shipped it to me. :rocker:

Wow. Very nice. I guess you won't be needing that C3 Personal Fan I found for you today since you got that cool Hammerhead. :)
