It has been a hot minute since I've looked at this post! I still find it slightly crazy at what some of the 19.2 tools sell for, and will have to admit, I've sold off many of mine as batteries have died or as someone wanted mine a lot more than I did but I have some oddballs still. I have a C3 paint sprayer. I know it is rare. But how rare? I don't think I have ever seen one pop up for sale.

There was one on Offer Up that went for $25. It was an older post. I would think you would get a lot more now. It seems almost like a cult following. I have some C3 tools that I like and still use. I will use them until they die or I can get a good deal on Brushless replacements. I doubt I would buy a used tool. I did buy a new aftermarket battery on ebay and it has been good. I know you hear mixed reviews on this.

I just bought a BNIB 1/4" impact tool at my friendly Ace Hardware on closeout. The package shows what the store was asking, I know the owner, and I asked him if he could do any better, and got the tool for $80. It came with the charger and a Li-ion battery, so I think a fair deal. I still use my 19.2 volt Craftsman tools all the time, and as long as they don't 'let the smoke out,' I'll stay with the platform. I just used a variety of them on a Chevy Tri-Five project, and the 1/2" impact driver was used the most. The project is ongoing, there's a thread on it.

I have a similar C3 powered 1/4" impact and I like it. It is about 10 yrs old now and still doing well. I know the newer ones have more torque but you can still do a lot with these.

I've used my friend's Milwaukee cordless 1/4" impact tool, I found it significantly heavier than say my driver drill Craftsman C3 tools. However, I liked the way it worked, just not enough to switch platforms. Here's one of the bikes he's used to building with the help of his Milwaukee cordless impact driver.

"No replacement for displacement," but another power-adder helps! Canine Inspector approved. They like to build the air-cooled inline-4 Suzukis and Kawasakis, but the 'Busas are probably the greatest number of steady customers. You can just see the NOS bottle/carrier to the left of the rear wheel, inside the extended swingarm.

I've purchased a few used tools over the years and have been lucky they've been great, but as the prices of the C3s keep going up, I began migrating to the Ryobi platform as their brushless HP tools become more mainstream and affordable. My paint sprayer hasn't been used so maybe I'll sell it.
I think $80 is a fair deal for a NIB impact kit. I have had the identical model for over a decade and it is still my go-to for projects.

There seems to be a select group of the rarer tools such as the caulk gun, fan auto buffer, newer-styled radio ($165 ?!), etc., whose prices simply defy logic. I guess if you adamantly refuse to have two platforms in your garage and need that one tool, you'll just have to pay the price asked. When I sold all my used,C3 stuff, I made a significant amount on it all, way more than enough to switch platforms completely and even get some additional tools. I went to the new, SBD Craftsman. Great stuff. Haven't looked back. They keep expanding the line, so I have zero regrets.

Last week I came across a bag of my C3 manuals that I had misplaced. I guess that would be interest to collectors and completists.

Moved on finally. Is anyone on here still interested in buying 19.2? I think I'm going to list my collection, but would like to offer here first. I'll sell cheap to a GJ'er. I have a few of the somewhat rarer tools, pump, vac, cutout saw etc. Let me know and I'll list what I have.
They've been a great set.

What do you have?
I'll try to get pics up tomorrow. Off the top of my head:. Inflator, dust buster, cut out tool, circ saw, sawzall, jigsaw, right angle drill, hammer drill, 2 1/4" impacts, 3/8 impact, 1/2" hd impact, assorted drills (have to look). More I think, but I'll have to inventory.

I inherited a set of C3 tools and they are great. Only drawback seems to be the crazy pants ebay prices for additional tools. I'm not a collector, just someone who is learning and expanding project wise and not looking to invest in another platform.

I'd be interested in the inflator, dust buster and cut out tool.
