Just ordered the set. Only code I could get to work was valpak5 for $5 off.

That's all I got to work when I ordered.
Good news is it didn't get cancelled like a few of my other sears items. Just got shipping notification.

I ordered one, got a coupon for $10 off $50 this morning and just couldn't resist. Ended up using VALPAK5 total was just under $80 including tax.

In for one. With a $5 off coupon and $6 in SYWR points I feel like this is a good deal for some nice American wrenches.

Yeah I think those are one time use coupons. I've been searching around for another $10 off and haven't been able to come up with anything.

On the Sears home page look under the deal center or local ad. You have to be on the full site, not the mobile site. You might have to be signed in to your SYWR account, too.

Just ordered a set (found this forum couple nights ago) and could only use the $5 valpak, whatever that is, but free shipping still. My first post...you guys saved me a bunch of money.

Received mine today. All USA. The offset double boxes, metric & sae, are all polished, all stamped -v^-. Line wrenches are all RP -v^-.
What surprised me was the obstruction and tappet wrenches, they are not rp or polished, just stamped, not exactly pretty. Maybe someone can add input. Obstruction is id'ed - ^v-, tappets -v
Smallest size (3/8-7/16) tappet is the same length as the largest (3/4-7/8) - 9 7/8''.
And, I see the link is down (again).

I got mine today as well. All USA. The tappet wrenches look very similiar to a couple of older ones I've had for 20 years. They've never been fancy but are handy at times. I will agree that the obstruction wrench is pretty rough. This is a great set for what we paid for it.

Got mine today. Nice set to have around the house for the money.

Best tool in the box was the bottle opener I ordered! Now I wish I had bought a few as gifts.

I ordered this set a few days ago after finding this thread via a google search to find out if they were made in the USA.

I was considering buying just the offsets off eBay. This whole set is much cheaper than buying just the offsets. The only bad part of the deal is having to put up with sears.

I wanted just the flare wrench sets but it was gone when I went to buy, interested in selling those?

I'm looking for the obstruction wrench and flare wrenches if anyone wants to part with them. I have trades in my for sale links below or cash if they're cheap ;)

Maybe they just had a huge lot of old rusty obstruction and tappet wrenches they dropped in a e-tank and just resold ;)

I too was surprised by the rough appearance..
Ordered some pegboard hooks to hang all my freakin wrenches...

My order went in on the 22nd and today's update on shipping says they will arrive late next week. Probably swamped from the holidays. That will be almost two weeks, but I did not opt [to pay] for faster shipping. I'll likely have some I don't need, either. But at the price, what I do need and use will be well worth it.

Received mine today. A very nice set of wrenches. What specifically are Tappet wrenches designed for? I have enough combination wrenches that don't think I really need them and they may end up on eBay.

Tappet wrenches are used in tight spaces. They are thinner. I have used theM at work were a fitting that goes thru sheet metal is fastened to piece of metal. It is secure with a nut on the other side. However it also has a compression fitting built in for flexible conduit. The fitting must be held by a wrench that is thin enough to allow another wrench to be used on the compression nut part of the fitting.

Thanks for that. I could have used one Tuesday when I put shocks back on the front of the old car. They have two nuts to be locked together on the top. I'll keep 'em.

In typical sears fashion, my order was jacked up, this time went to the wrong addy. They inverted house numbers! Anyway, they were too dumb too update the shipping on ups website and I as receiver don't have the ability too. Luckily, I spoke to a nice lady at ups that got things straightened back out. 2hrs extra messing with this!!!

Mine too are all USA made. The DBE's are nice. One very small spot of rust and what appears to be plating process residue, but that cleaned up easily.

Not sure if anyone still needs these but the link just went active. I ordered a set and got conformation. The valpkak5 coupon worked, so 84.99 shipped!

Those morons at Sears.

I would have bought this or maybe waited if the page was left up, instead they make it look like it's NLA and then I buy just the flares for half that and then they pop it back up :p

Then return the recently purchased flares for a refund. I have done this more than once with Sears and their sales.

Well UPS dropped the ball and sent it back to sears! I call sears and they say they will reship when they get it back. They got it back today, and I called to confirm the reship, and lone behold... "Sears will refund you the price paid, and you will need to reorder the item again" I am like OOOOOKKKKKK,,,, "that price will be $299!!!!!, but we can knock it down to $270 and do free shipping due to the inconvenience!":headscrat

I argued for about 10min and felt myself becoming more dumb... I think something was being transferred via the phone lines or something!!! I had to hang up! I will tell you what, Sears is getting worse and worse!!! Now to see if I can get my 90 bucks back! geeezzzz, what a P I the A!

I had the same problem with them when I ordered a couple of the three drawer portable tool chests. They were on sale for $30 minus the $10 off $50 promo code so $25 each. Sears shipped one but "lost" the other. I too got the "we'll refund your money back and you reorder" line. I've been after them for over a month now and have yet to see any money. Total load in my opinion. What happened to the old Sears? :headscrat

^ It's a real shame. I was sitting at my desk getting SO frustrated!!! Some kid on the other end kept repeating somthing obviously scripted. No matter what I said, he was a broken record and could care less! I try to support local sears and buy USA stuff from them, but they make things so difficult!!!

Oh well, lll give it a bit and just dispute it with my credit card company.
