Various sizes

Sears.com

When I try to post the link for some reason it will not work, need to go to tool section on sears and do a search for 3/4 drive sockets, sort low to high

Looks like Sears is having a Fire Sale on Craftsman Industrial. I wish there was an easy way to search the entire site for all the Craftsman Industrial items.

They used to call them "Professional Use" in the name, so it was easy to do searches. Now it's more of a hunt.

No way to tell for sure.

The best I've found so far is to go to the sub category under Tools, like Sockets, or Combination Wrenches. Then click the "New Arrivals", then "Less than 30 days", then sort price from "low to high".

The Industrials are at the top of the search with a cheap price that is also on sale.

It looks like if the model number starts with a "D" it is a full polish Industrial. But for the Black Oxide and Satin Finish, I can't figure out a pattern.

Can anyone figure out a way to search for all these new Industrial hidden gems?

One thing I look for is the background. A lot of the industrial has a grey-ish background instead of white. But yeah besides that I haven't found a way to just search for those. But this seemed to work pretty well. basically hit "shop all tools" then hit "Sears Only" and then the sort by "date added to site".

looking through all the sockets, it looks like in the description if the number of points is spelled out, it's industrial.

I.E. 3/8" drive 6 point or 12 point. And prv. post on the back ground is correct though there are a few with white backgrounds.

their 3/8th and 1/2 impacts are on sale too.

In singles they have almost a full set of 3/8 drive SAE and Metric 12pt deep wells.

All of the 8 point sockets except for 3/8"

I could only find about a total of 12 6 point sockets either sae or metric stnd or deep well.

Price on most of them is 1.69. SAVE15 15.00 off over 75.00 order and they get reduced to around 1.39/socket.

There are a number 1/4 and 1/2 also on there.

Don't really want the 12 pts so not sure if I'll pull the trigger on the 12 points or not.

These are really great deals, but I'm trying to resist. I just can't remember when the last time I looked through my toolbox and said "where is that 2 3/16" socket?" I have no use for 3/4 drive, so I'm trying to leave them for the ones that need them.

I can't argue with you but I just bought 16 of them. I bought a 40" long 3/4 drive breaker bar (and 3/4"x1/2" adapter) at Christmas so this will work out.

Another drive size to keep an eye out for....

Are these sockets the same as the easy to read USA versions? Does these have double detents?

What brand did you end up getting? I am in the market for one of these on the cheap.

I don't think that double detent thing ever went higher than 1/2" drive. I've never seen a 3/4" drive socket with it.

Just got my box of the 3/8 impact sets and the 1/2 singles I ordered. Stnd size and Deeps. All Industrial USA stamped.

Also ordered a set of the 6 piece thin profile ratchets. I had read on another thread they were all taiwan or chinese made now. Surpisingly the ones that showed up were clearly USA stamped...

You can see it if you zoom in on the picture.

Also, most of the industrial ones have a picture that does not show the correct size.

Model numbers start with "D" and pictures have a grey/blueish color background, where the other sockets have a white background

Not sure what the prv. poster was talking about. But I still see at least 6-8 3/4 sockets available. And also see some 3/4 impact sockets in there. 2.99-15.99 a piece.

http://www.sears.com/search=sockets...ORDER&viewItems=50&storeId=10153&levels=Tools

Earlier, the prices for the 3/4" drive sockets were discounted an additional 15 percent from what's indicated as their regular prices right now. But the prices right now are still pretty good. They were just a little bit cheaper before.

Northern Tool and Equipment has one currently on sale:

Titan JUMBO Breaker Bar — 40in.L, 3/4in. Drive, Model# 12048

Was $79.99
Sale $67.99

Not a bad deal. Last time I was in there I took a look at one and its pretty solid.

At the Tampa, FL location they also have a 20" 3/4 drive T-handle in the clearance section for $5. I picked up two of them and want to get a collar made so that I can connect them and get a 40" out of them and still keep it a manageable size to store in the tool box.

Don't have a lath or mill to do it, but I don't think It could be too expensive for a shop to turn something out of some 2" bar stock for me.

I couldn't get any coupons to add but ordered about 80ish dollars which came out to 100 out the door. Thanks been waiting for decent deals on 3/4 sockets since I got my 3/4
ratchet.
