Wow. That's the cheapest I've ever seen them. Usually they are $19.99 on sale.

If anyone doesn't already have these, now is the time.

Be cautious - the ones at my local Sears have been Chinese for a while wow, and they seam a little on the petite side compared to the USA sets I bought for $19 a couple months ago.

Can you clarify what you saw?

The only ones anyone has seen not Made in the USA was the single packaged 25 inch bar that was Made in Taiwan, not China. No reports I've seen anywhere about anyone receiving the classic 3 piece set that was not Made in the USA.

Also, even that single 25" Made in Taiwan looks identical to the Made in the USA, it is not petite at all. Perhaps you saw a different set at your store, or different brand?

Hi EdJack,

Petite may be subjective. My blood pressure rises everytime I visit Sears lately and maybe I don't see straight! But my Sears does have the overseas 3 pack of Craftsman prybars. I always check packaging, so I had to pass on the last round of $19.99 sets.

I hear ya...and peak at the new wrench"s! NOT USA!

get it while you can.

I think the toolbox's will be phased out too, with cheaper ones.

I heard the quiet glides were being phased out, off topic question but aren't all there tool boxes made over seas or Mexico??

I wonder if it is Sears that has "copied" the Wilde pry bars and sent them overseas (kind of like the Bionic Wrench thing). Or is it that Wilde themselves is sending production overseas and shipping the new overseas sets to Sears.

I guess my question is - Is this a Sears issue shipping the prybars overseas, or is this a Wilde issue shipping these overseas? Would be good to know that answer.

Went to my sears there on sale for 19.99 asked if they would price match the online price and they did. Thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone ever found the "...included soft bag..."?

Been a long-time mystery, and Sears has never deleted that part of the description.

I've had a set for about 5 years and they have held up great.
For that price I just ordered another set. Thanks.

I keep holding out for the professional set to go on sale, but $17.00 is hard to pass up.

Not a huge fan of these. You can see my most recent thread with pictures of first time use.

I read your "review" and commented on it.

I have a set of those several years old--no problems. Based upon your "review" I'll pick up a set after work tomorrow to see for myself if anything has changed between now and then

Now they show as $17.99. Still a great deal, but an extra buck now.

Was in the Sears in Brooklyn Center MN (Minneapolis suburb) and they had 4 or 5 on the rack "Made In USA." None from China. This is not a high volume store.

I order a set online for in store pickup yesterday and it came out to like $4.98 or something after I applied my rewards points. Good buy I guess although I have 3 sets of Snappy prybars already and a couple singles of Matco and Cornwell.

I started to buy these last week at full price ($38.99), last minute I put them back. Today I went back and they were on the shelf for $18.99, with $3.50 Club points I got them for $15.50. Cant beat that and they say USA right on them.
Thanks for the heads up.
