Just went to Sears today and looked at this chest. The word "premium" and this top box should not be used when describing this chest.

It had sloppy loose sliders with side to side play and thin gauged metal, it can't be considered as a serious tool chest. The Harbor Freight chest is by far a way a better chest for $269.

Thanks for posting this, I had $45 in surprise points so got the top box for $190 + tax. It's going to replace the milk crate and stack of cardboard boxes under my workbench.

Does anybody know if the single drawer middle box will fit the old style 40" combo? I missed out on picking one up when they were getting rid of them and I would like to have a full length drawer

Somettimes 8 hours. Sears is all over the place with pricing

The old middle drawer was still available for 185 the newer version is 215. I've seen old and new tops and bottoms together so should be the same. I had a newer griplatch on an old bottom and it was perfect match

I have these tool boxes and I been very pleased with them. They even better when loaded down with tools. If You want to talk about ****** box, the 40" middle box is ******. I have not been able to find a well made middle box.
Sears does seem to have a quality control issue with these boxes.

Every time I go down to Sears I end up passing too. The last time for a "heavy duty" box that had the cheesiest piston to hold up the top, and rivet dimples in thin....thin....thin metal sides. I tried to buy three or four CM top boxes.
Save yourself some gas.
