Plus free shipping on orders over $59. I don't know if this classifies as a "hot" deal but it seems like a "good" deal to me.

I just bought a 3/8" drive one. they are made in Taiwan, but are quite nice. they fit your hand really good, have nice chrome and a pretty good ratcheting mechanism. Plus the quick release and reverse lever are metal.

These are really what the standard Craftsman Ratchet should be (if they were not busy chasing HF in price)

Wow I think I paid $100+ for that 3pc set several years ago, but maybe they were US origin back then? I'll have to look. My favorite ratchets next to my SK's

How does the grip on this compare to their normal set? I love the feel of the evolve grips, but these sound like better quality for only a few more dollars.

So yeah mine are US but 44994, 44995 & 44996 1/4 thru 1/2 respectively.

As for the question above, I know nothing of Evolv but I'm sure someone else will.

edit: mine also have something about the 80yr special edition engraved under the direction switch, 1927-2007

I went to grab them a few weeks ago to have a thin profile set, but the head is just as thick as the RP so i passed. They did feel nice and seemed to have a smooth operation though.

The heads are thinner than the rp. Also thinner than snap on dual 80. Plus the quick release lever is flush but still easy to push.

They are finer tooth than rp as well

Ive got the 1/2 and like it - it was mismarked and I picked it up for $20 - well worth that kind of money.

For 3/8 and 1/4......they might be OK but Id rather spend the money on the BAHCO Dual80 Snap-On clones.

These are my favorite ratchets. Much higher quality than the RPs. Too bad they went overseas.

I compared my US 1/4" to a rp 1/4" and it's .100" thinner at the head.

Couldn't find a rp 3/8 or 1/2 in the shop, I obviously don't think much of them.

plus the quick release and reversing mechanism are compact to avoid snagging/breaking them off.

If you use a RP for any length of time you have probably sheared off at least one reversing mechanism.

I figured out what i did. They have two different sets of this style. One set is the low profile, the other is called next generation. The next generation look exactly the same but are not low profile.

I have a set of these from the USA I bought a couple years ago for $40, and a set of the Taiwan ones I got in a few socket sets. There is a slight difference. But they're both pretty darn good. Quality is there on both.
