How did you get free shipping? they want $9 to ship for me... did you join the premium shop your way?

Yes, join the FREE TRIAL Shop Your Way MAX. It doesn't cost anything. When you join it will auto enroll you to renew your subscribe once the free trial runs out. But as soon as you order this, then just go into your account, and "uncheck" the auto renewal.

Then, most likely, you will get count down emails telling you your trail is about to end. Then, when your account is about to expire, they will send you an email like "Congratulations! We are extending your free trail another *** days." Or you might get an email coupon code to buy it for a year for $0.99, which then would be worth paying the 99 cents, because paid subscribers get $3 a month of free points.

I don't see the auto renewal check box?

- Hover over your name in the top right hand corner of the Sears website.
- Click "My Profile".
- Click the tab "Manage My Account".
- Look over along the right hand side of the screen, about halfway down.
- You should see a section titled "Shop Your Way Max".
- There should be a button or something about Auto Renewal or Turn Off Auto Renewal or something like that.
- Turn it off, or set it so you have to manually renew. I don't remember exactly what it says, because mine is turned off. I don't remember the exact wording or buttons for turning off the auto renewal.
- Or, you could just make note of when it renews, and click the "Cancel Membership" button before it renews, so you don't get charged.

On second thought....

Maybe you don't have auto renewal on the Free Trial, you would actually have to sign up for the paid version. I think you have to turn it off if you get the $0.99 annual membership, because then it sets it up as auto renewal. For the Free Trial, there is nothing to renew, because you didn't sign up for anything yet.

I tried your suggestion and there is no auto renewal which lead to your second thought and it makes sense. As you said, there is nothing to cancel since this is a trial. I think I remembered they said they will not automatically charge you for the service once the trial expire. We will see. Thanks.

I never signed up for it aside from the free trial, also never got the 99 cent offer but for some reason they give me 3 bucks a month that's only good for a few days, They extended the free trial for 6months also I think, mine expires in may. 3 bucks in points almost all ways shows up on the 20th of each month :headscrat

the 40 pc set the local store has was $55 or so last time I looked at. I bought another 48pc set since I had points to burn, figure I'll give it as a gift since I all ready have two of them, was going to order the 3pc hose pinch pliers but damn things are out of stock again. :wtf:

If you are getting 3 bucks in points that only lasts a few day, it might be that you are signed up for a Personal Shopper. If you got points on Friday 03/20, and they expire today 03/23, then that's Personal Shopper points, not SYWMax points.

Awesome, they removed the Hot Buy, so the Family/Friends discount applied. Nice!

What eCoupon did you use? I couldn't get anything to take, and the additional discount?

I had one that's like $10 off every $25 I think. I logged in via shop your way.

The additional discount is through craftsman club and friends and family combined. I might have gotten aeay with stacking here. Sometimes it just works out like that.

Sears is really messed up ( I know, obvious). I tried to order online, and had $10 in surprise points, but couldn't get them to apply. Chatted for a looong time, turns out they are only for kmart. They offered $5 off, which I took. Sent the order confirmation, which only shows $3.50 off. But, they applied free shipping, which was not discussed, saving me another $8+. ultimately, I think I came out ahead. Unless sears tricked me. Which seems possible.

Picked it up for $35.96 before $7 in surprise points. Add a couple of bucks for tax, free shipping, and it will be at my door for just over $30.

I just scored this for $19.91 (for some reason I was offered $15 in surprise points). Tried the free shipping enrollment for SYW too.

Thanks!

I got this set along with other items in order to get free shipping, I was there on the checkout, but now looking at the invoice I got charged for shipping but discounts add up to more than shipping, better, more than shipping+tax...

None of the invoice prices are what I remember at checkout. I carted the thread restorer set for $44.99, only $5 off, but I decided to buy it anyway but it came up as $39.96 on the invoice, the ratchet (Craftsman Professional Use 1/2 in. Drive Full Polish Fine Tooth Roundhead Ratchet/USA) was (still is) listed for $9.49 not $10.44 (Ben's said $8.64) and a 1 lb dead-blow hammer (Nupa US made) for $24.99 but it came up $24.29, normally $26.99, and finally a 58pc Multi-Tool accessory set half off for $24.99 that went on more sale for $2 less hours later...

I'm so confused...

It was broken up into 3 shipments, each with discounts applied that always added up to more than tax+shipping.

Anyway I got all 4 tools, US ratchet, hammer, and restorer set, only the multi-tool set was non-USA, delivered/tax included for a grand total of $82.60. I think that's a good deal, so I'm not going to try the chat thing. I might get even more confused. :eyecrazy:

Check your 1/4" fine OD thread die. Mine came with 2 of the 5/16 fine dies. And so far, I've been unable to get them to correct the issue.

My set came with 2 of 9/16 course dies and no 5/8. Also the sticker chart was for the 40 piece. I wonder how they're going to correct that - will I have to return it?

Update: Chat rep said I have to return it and replace the order. What a hassle...

Yeah, didn't occur to me until about 6 months later when I needed it, and didn't have it. Called them up, they basically told me to pound sand. I asked for a manager, who said he would see what he could find to work it out, never called back, then didn't return my call. Typical Craftsman customer service...

Finally pulled the trigger on this one. I don' tknow how some of you guys got coupons to work on it, but the $39.96 with free shipping (MAX trial) is good enough for me.

I pulled the trigger over the weekend and getting them tomorrow, got it for $39 with free shipp. I can't tell you how times in the last three days that I could have used this set. I'm rebuilding an old grinder and vise, it would have been nice to clean the threads.

The two sets I ordered came in yesterday (one for me, second for FIL). Got them at the $39.** price, $10 back in points with free shipping. Used it today, worked perfectly. I feel like I'll be chasing every thread now just because I can,
