I have the thin profile ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/8 bought last decade.
USA made but keep in mind the current slim line ratchets are COO China.

Work just fine.

1/4 and 3/8 are nice due to fine tooth action, and while the 1/2 can be a little clunky re: tooth count it will tackle most jobs, although the handle can be a bit short for leverage vs some of the other 1/2 offerings out there.

I'd personally would try and find a NOS USA made module and/or ratchet.

If all Chinese sourced in that module as they are doing, there may be better offerings out there unless you are only looking at C'man.

I have all 3 craftsman socket modules. Got the last USA sets in all 3. I will say if I didn't get the USA sets I would have gone to SK. I really like the thin profile ratchets a lot. I have 3/8 sk ratchet but prefer the USA thin profile. Like I have said before if I was starting over with sockets and wrenches it would be all SK. Great choice on the SK.

I am.. But I am trying to build up a tool set because I am a small engine mechanic at a small shop and we just hired another younger guy (trainee, and my younger bro!) with no tools.. So he gets the set already at the shop (bosses old craftsman) and I need my own set... And if I'm going to be in this business for awhile it's worth going in small debt for decent tools I suppose...
