I have 4 of them. Should be plenty for a long time. Use them when I redo my lawn. I bought all 4 for that $20 price, what an awesome deal. Also these are USA made AND guaranteed for life against failure (not if you cut them, but if they come apart).

These are real rubber and are nice and pliable. An excellent product.

From my post of mid-2009:

Not a "tool" per se but useful to most homeowners.

50' ALL RUBBER garden hose, MADE IN THE USA, $19.99. That's a good deal on a rubber hose that will last for years.

This appears to be a KMart only deal, Sears wants $10 more.

STILL A GREAT DEAL!!!

And yes, 100% rubber hose. No vinyl, no gimmicks. Highly recommended.

Just got back from picking one up from my local Sears independent store. They only had one in stock, I tried to order another one but the clerk said that they were sold out.

Why are these so good?

I have a couple of sort-of-stiff older hoses that I wouldn't mind replacing.

Last time I bought one in the store, I told the sales associate "It's great that these have a lifetime warranty." He said "Yep, no questions asked, you just bring it in, and we'll replace it!"

I told him, "Well, I kinda ran over the last one with a lawnmower, bet that isn't covered." Without missing a beat, he replied "Like I said, no questions asked - you bring it in, and I'll replace it for you anyway."

I still don't feel right about it. But it was nice that they offered.

We use these @ the firestation to rinse the trucks with hot water after getting back from a run in the rain. These hoses hold up extremely well to hot water under pressure without busting. Also, to get one warranted, all you have to take to the store is both ends of the hose with just enough of the hose to be able to read the craftsman logo. Great hose, Great Warranty, & Great Price, when on sale...

Worked online for me, first I check the "pick up in store" circle to make sure my store has them. Mine had 9.

First of all, they are more pliable than standard vinyl hose. They will not stiffen up in colder weather as much and they roll on and off a winding hose real much easier due to the semi-hexagon shape of the hose itself. Also, it does not roll over on itself and kink.

Trust me, these rubber hoses from Craftsman are well worth the money and you will wonder why you had not got them sooner.

Found 12-15 in the K-Mart at Corinth, MS. I bought 2, but they rang up at about $28 each. I told the cashier that these should be on sale for $19.99 and she did a manual over-ride for me. These are great hoses that I have used for a few years.

at 20$ you are overpaying about 5 times, meaning you can warranty it 5 times and they are still making money.

this is because it only costs them about 4$ to make that hose

so feel right!

Let's go with the premise that Sears pays $4 for that hose at wholesale (which I doubt), that is not their cost to sell at retail and only pays the supplier for what it is. Their costs for overhead of building utilities, property taxes, wages and a plethora of other costs to just have it sit fat dumb and happy on a shelf until the consumer decides to buy it at retail ads considerable more costs.

Sorry, but my personal ethics aren't based on "screw them to the wall."

anyone have a link to a good nozzle? i've been searching the boards but never found a good specific one, just that the "brass ones from home depot are good." a link might help me be sure i'm grabbing the right ones.

I am not interested in this deal since I have had 2 of these hoses for 15 years. Since I bought the house.
I use them all the time throughout the summer. They sit outside, properly curled up and out of the sun all summer. I bring them in for winter.

They show some wear but still function perfect.
If either of these wear out I will try to warranty them, but, I personally would never buy another hose than this.

My father bought a 5/8" ID 50' garden hose from Sears in 1982.

I still have it today. I'd say 31 years of faithful service and no sign of wearing out is a pretty darn good product life. Never even had to replace the ends.

Good quality, good product, good service.

Just tried to check out and the price is now $28.99. Does Lowes have a good brand rubber hose?

This deal comes up all the time. Right now the 100' is on sale for 29.99. I bet the 50 goes back on in the next 2 weeks.

I ordered the 100 footer. 50' doesn't get ya too far when your house is over 90' long :D
