They are the same box, it is rebadged under many names including Williams and Gray. Northern has pretty good reviews except one guy saying it is tinny junk. I'm actually thinking about buying one if I need one for a new job. I have a SO road chest, but don't want to beat it up. For what the international cost, if its junk after 7-8 years, I'm fine with that.

The term "road chest" has been pimped out until it is meaningless. A box with carry handles and a drop front cover does not a road chest make. Fill that Craftsman to capacity with tools, put it in the back of a flatbed driving around the oil patch or the yard at US Steel and see how long it takes to rip the slides right out of it.

The Craftsman doesn't mention how much it weighs, but it has a max load of 75#. The Snap-on Road Chest weighs about 175# empty.

Load rating of 75# is a joke. Buy a snap-on for a road box.

The box pictured is a standard 26" wide box by 17" deep. A 75 lbs rating for the friction slide drawer is really not bad. I have never seen publish ratings for my friction slide kra 62c. I have never seen anything for the newer 6200 either, but would guess it to be 125 lbs, same as a classic. For the last five years I have been using a standard friction slide craftsman top box and it hasn't failed. I'd have hopes that international box would be better then a normal craftsman box. The biggest problem with the SO road box in my eyes, it is too damn expensive to get beat up as a road box. I'm applying standard HF thinking to buying one, it is so cheap for what it is, if it fails down the road, I can just buy another one. I can get at least five international for the cost of one SO, so if they are junk after five years, I'll be retired before I need a six. And there will be a pretty like new SO in my garage the whole time.
