Room temperature deal at best. OTOH, the set is normally $26 and never seems to move from there (list price is $29 but I've never actually seen it that high). So while the discount is only a few bucks it doesn't come around often.

I got free shipping, though I'm not sure how. I was clicking around a bit and the shipping went from $6.99 to $0 so I pressed the buy button.

This set goes great with the non-striking pry bars.

This set never appears to be in stores. My stores only stock a 3 piece set. This seems like a good deal. I believe that they are made by Wilde.

Wish I had seen this when I ordered the thread chasers earlier today.

What's the chances these are still USA made? I see they used to be made by wilde and possibly mayhew...

For $20.52 shipped? I'm in. One or two scrapers, the rest likely altered for whatever. Nice deal as they sure look like the Wilde pry bar series.

I just ordered them last week and they were made in USA.

That's great!
I also checked the reviews and they were saying USA aswell. I poked around and found they had the Aircat I've been wanting for the lowest price I've seen. I got another $35 for SYWR points!

How are you guys getting this price? For me it shows $22.46 +$6.50 shipping. Ship to store is not available.

Great set. I have the three piece set. I got the three piece set for $8.99 on "Sears Local Ad" a couple months ago, and used $3 in Personal Shopper points. So got the three piece set for about six bucks out the door.

They are similar quality to the Wilde Craftsman Pry Bars, same red handles and same black oxide looking scrapers. They are Very Sharp, and hold the sharp edge well.

If you haven't already done the trial period: http://www.shopyourway.com/max

No need to worry about them automatically charging you for the annual membership when the trial expires. They might even extend the trial for free.

I don't know how he lowered the price by about $2, unless he meant that he used some points to pay for part of it.

I definitely used a few points. Like he said, I think it was just a couple bucks off. Not sure how the free shipping happened, but that hooked me for sure.

Is there a set of striking scrapers?

I don't think I've ever looked at a set of pry bars and thought, "I DON'T want to hit this with a big hammer". :bounce:

^ ^ ^ Likely free shipping from your order exceeding $59 threshhold. Sears shipped my Craftsman clock and Craftsman 4 1/2" vise for free.

No, just the scrapers. I ordered another 48 piece thread restorer with free shipping last week. They're probably billing me some other way.

If you can stand to go into your local Sears store, you can order through the in store kiosk and it won't charge you shipping. I have done this several times on items that they won't ship to the store and I have never been charged shipping.

After reading yours, I started a live chat with a Sears sales rep.. She told me the item could not be shipped to the store for pick up.

correction!!! Wvrailroader was correct about using the in store kiosk to place your orders without being charged for shipping. This afternoon I had to go to Costco to pick up a couple of things. On my way there, I stopped at a Sears store, went in there to use their kiosk to order the scraper set and the 48 piece thread chaser set. I typed in the items numbers and wondered if there was a shipping charge for the above items. The next thing came up was the total cost and No shipping charge. I sent in my order and went home. Thanks to Wvrailroader.

One if the Sears stores that I visit actually had that posted at the kiosk. If you ordered from inside the store, free shipping was included. Now if there was a store close by that would be great.

I have the Mayhew Dominator Angled Scrapers with striking caps (and the Craftsman in this thread). I always reach for the Mayhew, not really because of striking, but because the angle allows you to use one hand on the handle, and the other hand on the angled part to carefully guide the scraper. I find the Angled scrapers are much more efficient than the straight scrapers. I also try and avoid striking them, whenever I start striking them, I pause and think "maybe I should go get my striking pry bar", so I don't dull the sharp end of the scraper.

The Craftsman are excellent, but given the choice I would get the Mayhew.

It is kind of like comparing the Craftsman Pry Bars (Wilde) to the Craftsman Professional Pry Bars (Mayhew). Both excellent, but if you could only have one, then the Mayhew version would be the one.

Got my set today - very nice. Go well with my pry bar set. Definitely look Wilde-Made (In The USA).

Thanks OP for the heads up!

Well said Ed, however, you can't use those sometimes almost free ShopYourWay Sears points on the Mayhew while you can on the Wilde ones. So, the Wilde ones probably really can be had much cheaper with the points and are a good buy from Sears for one of the few US made things left there. Mayhew is also top quality! - Paul

Thanks had $3.94 in points and $10 surprise points, plus i get free shipping with my SYWR account. My order came out to $17.58 but $5.24 of that was another item. So scrapers were around $12.

Used these yesterday, very happy with them. I'll get a set of matching prybars next time on sale.

Sure you can get the Mayhew with ShopYourWay Points.

I bought this set from Sears. It was half price (about $45), then I used surprise points, added a $ off tools coupon code, then stacked one of the Facebook coupon codes for something like $20, then free shipping.

http://www.sears.com/mayhew-4-piece-dominator-194-174-angled-scraper-set/p-00980969000P?sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

I think I paid about $25 or so out of pocket for the 4 piece Mayhew set from Sears. Last year Sears was selling various Mayhew for 1/2 price. They had pry bars, scrapers, chisels, punch pin sets, wheel bearing punches, etc. Doesn't come around very often, but it does happen. I also got a set of cold chisels, set of punch pins, set of wheel bearing punches around that same time from Sears.
