Grab some clear automotive vinyl wrap and cover the static and dynamic jaw supports. Put some soft or aluminum jaw covers on and use it.

Just finished up on my dump find of a craftsman 5196. Now what to do with it! To nice to work it!
With all due respect: no, it's not. A new car isn't too nice to drive. A new shirt isn't too nice to wear. Use that thing and enjoy every minute of it.

You did a beautiful job refurbishing it; now do other things as beautifully by using it.

Heck, I'd use it as a figurehead on a boat. And in a pinch you could use it as an anchor! :ROFLMAO:
