Two of the reviews said they caught a crack in the floor rolling it across their garage and the wheel bent and crumpled the frame, and Sears wouldn't even look at it, no warranty.

Item Weight: 280.0 lbs.
Width: 51-1/2 in.
Height: 41-1/4 in.
Depth: 18 in. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< non pro depth.

For a grand I would be looking at nice used pro boxes.

I just bought the 40" combo. I bought it online and picked it up. I got an additional discount buying online and picking it up. Craftsman Club price $699.99 turned into $594.** plus tax for a total of 633.**. That particular box might be the exception. If not expect an additional 15% off till oct 31 online. Make sure to check the box out before you leave the store. My top box had a dent in the bottom. I had to make two trips anyway, I couldn't fit both in one trip (actually 3 trips). That box is even bigger. I haven't loaded it up yet but I like it so far. Not major brand quality but the absolute best bang for the buck. It is way better (bigger) than what I had and I guarantee I could not get anything this size for the price anywhere else.

I have that for my home box. It is an OK box for regular use, pretty much just two of their 26" boxes side by side. Same thin metal and flimsy slides as all the cman box's. My biggest complaint is that it does not have a longer drawer like many other box's of that size do.

I bought it because I got it new for about half price.

I have the bottom chest on order with Sears right now. (Early Xmas/anniversary gift from the wife :) ) Already have two smaller top chests, planning to put one (a 26" Kobalt) on top of this one. I saw the reviews about the bending while moving - I'm hoping that since those were from 2007 that things have improved... hoping. I also don't intend to move it around much once it's in the garage.

I believe we got the bottom box for ~$600. Seems like every time you look at the various Sears sites it was a different price. Best pricing seems to be via going in thru Craftsman.com and having a club membership entered. The original plan was for the 40" chest, but this ended up only maybe $20 more.

I think that price is only through the end of today. I have the November flier, and it is not in there.

Rory Bellows, unfortunately, the 15% online offer is not for those two 52" chests. :-(
