It was $100 less overnight with their midnight madness. At $900 it's a lot of ballbearing storage. Dealbreaker for me was the lack of any long drawers. I already have two 26" ball bearing sets that I can stand side by side, this one wouldn't net me anything.

Still, good to see that they would ship to store on this one. So many of the recent deals have required high cost freight shipping, even for the lightweight roll-carts.

No super wide drawer, odd size (not that it matters), at that price I'd watch craig's list for a truck brand tool box (just the bottom, unless you need a ton of storage) or a Craftsman Pro at one of their outlet stores.

I bought the Craftsman Griplatch toolbox, not sure what the size was but it was a bigger one, I didn't really like it and returned it, seemed kind of flimsy and I didn't like the Griplatch feature (it's nicer on the pro boxes). But I have some rather heavy stuff, it might be okay for you, others here have bought them and like 'em. I'd go to sears and check out a similar box and see how you like it.

Without any midnight maddness, craftsman club, or friends and family sales, that's about as cheap as that set gets. There are only two principal drawbacks to this set. First, as pointed out, there isn't a long drawer. Secondly, the set isn't that deep and the top chest isn't as deep as the bottom unit. However, these may not be issues for you. What are you using now? If this unit isn't at least twice the size of your current setup, it doesn't have enough growing space. I would probably try to find several 26.5 inch wide units used for a better price and top them off with the deeper top chests that are as deep as the bottom rollaway.

I have an older Craftsman combo that I like. About 16 drawers - top, bottom, and intermediate. Base slide so the ball bearings would be an upgrade for me and I have played with the grip latch in the store. Seemed OK. Being just a weekend warrior, I'm sure the quality is sufficient for me and should be higher than what I have now.
It's not something I really need. Could live the rest of my life without it. But I want it - or at least something similar for the right price. In the end, I am cheap. Will talk myself out of it most likely :(

Edit - it just occurred to me that I have a picture of my box in an album here.
