Good pricing, but I can't think of why or how they would be of any use, really cant justify it.

They are good for tight spaces where there's no room for a ratchet/socket. I have a Pittsburgh Pro set that I bought on sale for $17 for a 7 piece set. They are flat (not offset) so they fit even easier inside tight spots.

I have a set of these, but have never used them. Your normal combination ratcheting wrenches cover everything these do...

SAE is the same price but from everyone's comments, sounds like they might be a pass.....

How are they compared to this type of ratcheting head?

I think of these as 'old style' ratcheting wrenches. They existed long before Gearwrench-style wrenches.

They are made of stacked stamped steel, and feel like a crude, oversize, low-tech product. As mentioned before, they practically define coarse tooth. After a little use, the stamped steel loosens and they feel even sloppier.

Same here. I've had a set in my tool box for years. Don't think I've ever found a use for them. However, I have multiple sets of the Gearwrench type that I use all the time....
