Craftsman 8pc 1/2inch impact sockets 14.99 searsoutlet

Hi new to this forum. I saw this at the sears outlet and picked it up since I needed a 21mm. 8pc impact sockets. Mine are made in China. This "deal" maybe only for a few people who live near an outlet as I am not sure how much shipping it.

always around for this price, i think even sears discount them to the price in certain sales.

either way china or usa made theyre handy to chuck in the trunk along with a breaker bar for changing your wheel at the roadside and covers most sizes incase you find someone else stranded.

as for beating on them with a impact gun, i wouldnt like to say.

with searsoutlet, if you can do store pickup, do that. their online - store fulfillment can be shaky. i ordered it for shipping and it took hours on the phone and email to find out the store just sat on the order and didn't have it in stock. it wasn't until i spent another few hours on the phone that they remembered to issue credit. Even then they didn't refund $10 in points used for that order. i decided to let it go and haven't placed another order w searsoutlet. YMMV of course. the product itself is probably fine, imported if anyone cares. My sears dept store has the same set for more, as does sears.com.

Oh. Does anybody know if these are no good?

I've got a couple of the laser impact sockets. I think they're cr-v (at least the ones I have). When I bought them they had some orange-ing on the inside so I guess the coating ain't so hot. They're decent but not something I'd pay the original asking price for. 15 bucks isn't too bad if you need a set of impacts. If they're cr-mo (don't think they are) that's a super deal but they're probably not.

I guess if you just got a job at tire shop this would be the set to get, other wise most of us probably have these. I checked on the shipping and for me it was $6~
