Yes. But the 11pc Craftsman Industrial is Made in the USA. The 9pc Craftsman Professional at the local stores is Made in China.

The only Craftsman Professional made in the USA I've seen in the last year at my 3 local stores is the leftover Open Stock pieces. But all the sets have been China for a while now.

Yeah I know there the fugly china one's. I've never seen the industrial line in a sears store, only supply houses that could order them, so didn't know if they where china or not, why I asked in the other post. I know this set used to be usa so maybe someone got lucky and found a really old set. I got both for 5 bucks since I had points expiring this weekend and I never even checked that stuff before so I'm sure I had a lot expire, I'll just throw them in the junk yard box if there that bad.

I picked up the metric set a month or two back when it was a hot buy for $25, only paid $4 as I had a few SYWR points.

lot of people said they're junk because they're non usa, blah blah blah! truth is they're not too bad and for the money cheaper than kobalt/gearwrench etc' equivalent.

debating picking up a SAE set just to have both sets, especially since it will only be $8 with the few points I have at the minute.

there ugly, open end is huge but its a tight fit for there sizes, good news all the open stock was still usa so if there is any issues other then just being ugly I'll swap them out here and there. None of the open stock was china but all the sets where. I wonder if its like this in most stores or just the one at my local mall. Asked the clerk If I could swap them but he said no lol.

I just ordered and received this set, probably from my local Houston store. They were as you described - made in China, with the open end being overly large.

Got mine yesterday. Yup, not top-notch stuff but the finish was surprisingly good. For the price I'm still happy -- nothing wrong with having an extra set to abuse if necessary.
