I'm looking for some knowledge or ideas on where to locate a fan for my air compressor, model 919.152921. Everywhere I've looked says 'obsolete' or 'out of stock'. With information I found here, it looks like the compressor was built by DeVilbiss or IR, but that hasn't helped me. The numbers on the old fan are: CAC-1148-1. The owners manual says it's part of a kit, that comes with the attaching screw and washer, P/N: KK-5018. I attached a couple of pics of what the fan looks like. Any help is much appreciated!

There's a *chance* I might have one, but won't be able to check until Sunday...send me an email Sunday afternoon, and I'll be glad to check for you.

At work we used to have a Craftsman compressor as a backup. The main compressor broke down so we used the Craftsman full time for a while. Not a lot of demand so it wasn't running more than it's duty cycle allowed. But one day the fan came loose and exploded. Black shrapnell all over the compressor room. What a mess!

I lost a few blades on the fan, that’s about it. I shut it down as soon as I heard it get louder, good thing I was there right then.

I do have a couple buddies that 3D print, where did you find that picture? It sure looks like it may be the right one. If you have a link, Do you know if they have the 3D image for sale to download?

Thanks for the reply man!

Glad you found it! I wasn't sure if links to external sites were OK, and I like it here, so I'm trying to be a good boy.
I make SO much stuff on the 3D printer. I was able to figure out basic CAD like Fusion360 and there are lots of free files out there that anyone can use.

Hey Spike!
I really like young guys who are "can doers!" Fabricating parts, discovering better ways to solve problems!

I'm new here too I also want to be a contributor here that helps.

I was moderator for Mattel's Red Line Club site yeas ago. It was alot of fun. In Colorado you put the hobby cars away in the winter, so it was fun playing with the little hot rods during the cold weather! lol

Looking forward to seeing some of the stuff you make here on the site!

Hey guys
Just had the same problem recently, i just started looking into air tools found a craftsman and spent a lot time so cannot back out now.

Hey spike just wanna ask how is the 3d part doing i designed myself and it shattered,

How is yours one and if still working what material was used.

Also bought this STL but yours is too simple.

If anyone needs the stl message me , i am trying to upload it on thinkverse and github as well, just want this to be be open source.
