seems to be a lot of air compressor threads lately, here's mine.
Yesterday, my 15 year old Craftsman 25 gallon, 3-1/2 hp spit a reed out / STB (sht the bed). It was buzzing along just fine, then the "tone" changed. After that, it wouldn't build pressure.
Took it apart and found one reed had broke. I tried to remove the tiny screw, but it just broke. So I went looking for parts and, to my surprise, I found most the parts are no longer available / obsolete. It is less than 15 years old! And the reeds are not available separately, you have to buy the whole valve block.
But some judicious googling around found a Devilbiss / Porter Cable used the same valve block. Ordered it, hope it shows up this week.

Do you know if any other parts swap over from Devilbiss/Porter? A lot of people could benefit from this thread if they too have similar problems with their compressor. The title throws you off, though.

I am not sure. But if the valve plate fits, I would guess the others do also. Very few parts in the whole pump. I will post up after I install the new part to confirm whether it fits or needs modify to fit.
