I had a Craftsman 33 gal upright. If you can put up with the noise they aren't to bad. They just don't have enough CFM. I also think they are a little slow to get up to pressure. They will not run a cut off tool. You end up waiting for the pressure to build longer than you can use the tool.

I have one I just don't care for. Can't do much other than air my tires with it. Ill sell it if you're in mid missouri.

I have a 33 gal, will not own another craftsman. End motor cover is held on with plastic tabs which broke- this is also what allows power from the capacitor to start the motor. Some aluminum bar stock and a little creativity fixed it. Then a letter came in the mail saying some models were recalled due to a fire hazard. It has been replaced, but kept for an emergency backup. Was $300 on sale with some junk air tools. I would spend just a little more and get a different brand/larger compressor.

No, In that size I'd never recommend an oil less unit regardless of manufacturer.

Get a low RPM oil lubricated unit with cast iron pump and don't look back!!

I need one for moderate use for personal vehicle - airing tires, taking lugnuts off blowing engine parts off etc would 10 or 20 gallon be big enough

I Have a 30Gal Craftsman in my garage that I have had for almost 10 years it's god awful loud for it's size and takes a while to get up to pressure, but it has always been fine for blowing off parts, airing tires, running and impact, air ratchet, die grinder, or drill in short intervals. If I needed another one for light use as you do, I wouldn't have a problem buying another Craftsman. Also Sears can order you parts for it I just got in a new drain valve for mine that I ordered the other day.

I have the 33 gallon vert, noisy as mentioned, works, and was cheap. I got mine years ago on sale for $180 with impact and ratchet.

Still waiting on my recall fix kit, so not used in a couple months.
