Craftsman air hose

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I bought this http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-...00916111000P?sLevel=0&redirectType=SKIP_LEVEL air hose at a garage sale and didn't notice the female fitting on one end. If you look closely at the picture you'll notice the flared male portion in side the female end. Is there a special male coupler that I need to get to be able to use it? Or can a coupler can even be used at that end of the hose?

Get a union if you want a male end. Cost about twenty five cents at a hardware store.

So a union is available that will allow me attach a male coupler to that end of the hose? As in a female flare on one end and unflared on the other? Hope that made sense. Not even sure if I'm using the correct terminology.

Not sure, but that was what I was thinking too.

Pretty sure the female end is just a female pipe thread swivel. A male pipe thread should thread into it, so you can use a ****** or a male pipe thread quick connector.

Throw it out and get a 3/8 hose your tools will work much better, 3/8 quick disconnects also.
