Found this planer for $60, with the stand. I can't seem to find much information on them as far as value, but supposedly in runs, knives are sharp, and table is flat and in good shape.

Is $60 a good deal?

The alien planers have a cult following. I have never used one, but they look well made and sturdy.

Thanks for the input. I'm still getting into woodworking and not super sure of what kind of performance/capability I need but I think the cool factor would make it worth it for me.
