I have been wanting to add the assurelink stuff to my garage door and looks like the openers after 1998 will work. Looking at the previous posts and google searches, it's just a matter of adding the wall button, Internet gateway and load the app. The kits are north of $90 but the individual components on eBay are cheap. The Internet gateways is pretty straight forward, but there are a few different wall kits. You have a "door monitor" that looks different than the components you can buy on eBay.

the first picture is the kit you can buy.

The second picture is the wall monitor I was talking about.

Anyone know the differences in the two wall mount switches? The gateway is pretty straight forward..

I see a lot of the Internet gateway's on ebay and not the wall consoles. You think that is because of all these smart hub's doing away with the need?
