Sears is having a “bag” sale! There’s a display in the center aisle with red nylon Craftsman shopping bags marked at $5. If you buy more than $20 worth of tools that fit in the bag, the bag is free and you get an additional 10% off your entire purchase. I packed my bag today with the 18 pc deep 3/8 drive 12 pt. socket combo pack – a set of 9 metric and 9 std’s - and the 3/8 drive metric hex bit sockets. All together it was about $75 worth of stuff for $33. Note the limited time on the sale.

Went this afternoon and got the gearwrench metric sets, some safety glasses with the LED lights on them, grip screwdrivers (don't know if I'm going to like them or not though) and got a rain check for the 7.2 V screwdriver and the little bag. Makes for a kind of nice deal.

Just ran to sears over lunch. Did find much that I needed so picked up a screwdrive set, hex sockets and the screwdriver holder. Waiting to see what they have during craftman club days.

I'm sure my wife wishes I never read this post last night. I got an 18 volt professional cordless drill, a bunch of Craftsman socket racks, and a few of the Hanson socket racks, all in the bag deal. The drill was on the "clearance" shelf (discontinued black version) for $129.99, and I still got 10% off of that. I couldn't talk them into getting the 52" roller & top box in the bag, but they were already on sale so I couldn't resist.

You guys are definitely a bad influence.

Picked up a second Cman Pro wrench set (1/4 - 1). It just fit in the bag. I had been looking at an SK long profile set on sale on the tool warehouse for $140, but the Cman Pro set is $99 to start with and 10% off in the bag. I couldn't resist.

Also picked up a set of 1/4" sockets for the service cart drawer and a Hansen socket rack.

SCORE! :rocker:

Bag sale

Lots of Craftsman bags still hanging up.

Got mine and oop's bought some nice 1/2 short metric and standard socket sets $59.99 each with the nice 10% off.

The wifey however did get the Kenmore Front loader washer / dryer set with a cool 15% off and $50 Long Island Power Authority rebate.

Now I'm broke but I have the Red BAG !!! :rocker:

Found out about this site when trying to find out about the next club days (haven't recieved the flyer yet). As for resisting buying tools, I have this picture of the borg in mind: Resistance is futile. LOL

OMG you are right. I told my wife that after today's excurion at Sears, I am not planning to buy any more tools so that I can pay on some credit cards and buy some parts for the Vette. Yeah, right...
