Hey all - been searching and probably to dense to find this info. Inherited some used, but outstanding condition tools, I have a speeder bar, breaker bar and set of sockets in Craftsman "BE" & H-Circle, but wondered about the composition. Anyone know if these things have the cadmium finish? I've found a few cadmium finished tools in my stuff (U-Circle, Pomb, etc.) by looking at other places (alloy artifacts, etc.) but for the life of me I can't seem to find any info on these H-Circle things...thanks in advance

Some were not plated at all , I have some BE Amber handle ratchets that have chrome I can see my face off and some BE and circle H with no finish at all cadmium was a big war time finish to none at all but chrome soon became standard , my Amber handled stuff was the top tier exspensive set only where as the latter was the normal and most I've seen had no finish until I think the later on years in that series Amber handled were only made 38-42 and are like hens teeth if you have any of those they are a real treasure the rest are fairly common and available in most dollar bins and flea markets.
